THE FIRST PETRON SPRINT 4T ENDURANCE AND ECONOMY RUN

OVERVIEW:

Ride your 4-stroke motorcycle for 1,000 kilometers through Northern Luzon, using the least amount of fuel, within a prescribed timeframe.

Take off is scheduled at 3 AM of January 3, 2009 at the Petron station in C5 Diego Silang. Estimated time of arrival at the finish line (Baguio City) is 9 PM of the same day.

REGISTRATIONS:

1.All four-stroke motorcycles with at least 100cc displacement are invited to join.

2.There will be 210 participants grouped into 8 classes, divided according to engine displacement.

Classes with less than 5 participants will be dissolved and the slots will be reassigned to other classes. Slots have been reserved for manufacturers.

1.Riders will be required to show proofs of purchase for:
a.Sprint 4T oils
i.2 liters for Classes 1-4
ii.4 liters for Classes 5-8
b.Petron fuels
P500 worth of single receipt or accumulated purchases (*Blaze, XCS, and Xtra Unleaded only)
c.Purchases of these products must be made from December 2 onwards.
d.REGISTRATION IS ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE BASIS. YOUR PURCHASES DO NOT GUARANTEE YOUR SLOT IN THE RUN.

2.Other requirements include:
a.Valid driver’s license with Restriction 1
b.ORCR of motorcycle under the name of the rider
i.Deed of sale for those who just bought their motorcycles or Letter of Authority from the owner, for the motorcycles named after another individual (assumed to be related to the rider—i.e. wife, father, brother, etc.)
c.Approval of Safety Committee on road-worthiness of motorcycle

3.Next registration date is on SATURDAY, DECEMBER 20, 2008 at Station 2 Restaurant, #5 Sgt. Esguerra Ave., Timog, Quezon City.
a.Those who have already registered are REQUIRED to come to Station 2 at 3PM for the initial event briefing (route, mechanics, scoring system, etc.)
b.December 20 is also the deadline for submissions of requirements.


RULES:

Rules and regulations for the event will be discussed in detail during the briefing of participants.


SCORING:

1.Scoring will be based on a matrix of prescribed figures (fuel consumption and finishing time). Deviations from these prescribed numbers will incur the corresponding merits or demerits, which will be totaled after the ride.

2.Trophies and cash prizes await the winners of each class.
