Racing in the MSBK 250 Class B for young riders, Solis made history for the Philippines in the series. He not only completed a podium perfect season in every round , which is already an impressive feat, but also finished the season as runner-up in the championship! Both are a first for a Filipino in MSBK!

He started the race weekend well by being the fastest in FP1. “A great way to start our race weekend, I managed to beat my personal best lap time and got a 2:31.8 on used tires to put us fastest on FP1. In FP2, I improved again and got a 2:31.1s, putting us 2nd fastest for the practice sessions. We will continue to be in this form for QTT sessions and Race 1. Thanks to all who are supporting me.”

Qualifying was even better. “We made another step forward in the QTT sessions. I improved my lap time again, and we are much closer right now with the faster competitors. Lets keep up the momentum and will carry this in Race 1 later this afternoon.”

Unfortunately, Solis suffered a mechanical problem in Race 1 and finished out of the top 3.
“Luck didn’t come our way. As I make my way to pregrid, my oil filter got loose, I had to start from pit lane. I still got to catch up but only managed to cross the line at P5. These things happen but I will not let this affect me for Race 2 for tomorrow. We know we have the speed. I will push more and give it all for tomorrow.”
