IR News: Borbon Fastest Pinoy in SAC Qualifying

Buriram,Thailand -The final Qualifying Session of the 2016 Suzuki Asian Challenge (SAC) was held very early in the morning today at the Chang International Circuit under cool conditions. Due to the colder air and sorted suspension settings,all SAC riders went faster than their practice times yesterday.
Today it was Mario Borbon Jr.   of Team Suzuki Pilipinas  Visayas who ended up being the fastest Filipino in  was only 6th place after improving his time from yesterday by a massive 2secs on his Suzuki Raider to 2:14.865s. He was very happy after the session and promised to do more in Race 1.

Following behind in 8th place is Eane Jay Sobretodo of Team Luzon who improved by more than 1 sec from yesterday with a 2:15.008s. Yesterday’s fastest rider in P1 and fastest Pinoy April King Mascardo of Team Mindanao only improved by less than one second to 2:15.182s good enough for 9th position on the grid.

Mascardo and the two other boys tried hard to stay with the lead pack for the duration of the 20 minute Qualifying Session where all top riders went fastest. Pole Position went to Malaysian Muhd Rozaliman Zakaria who inprovwd by more than a second to 2:13.341s beating Indonesian Jefri Tosema who came in 2nd at 2:13.341s

The penultimate race of the 2016 SAC season will happen later at 1:05 PM in the afternoon.
