Get ready to let your adrenaline carve your path! BMW Motorrad Philippines has finally confirmed that the first units of its brand new BMW F 900 R will be released to the first customers this Saturday June 20.

Initially rumored to be only an F 850 R late last year after the German brand updated its dual sports from F 800 GS to an F 850 GS, BMW describes this new model as follows, “The pure and powerful design of the F 900 R simply demands to be challenged. This dynamic roadster gives you the opportunity to get your adrenaline racing. The F 900 R responds with precision and accuracy. This means that you can engage its power intuitively, as if translating your thoughts directly into riding pleasure. The F 900 R supports you with lightning technology and connectivity.”

It is powered by an in-line twin cylinder displacing 895cc and producing a maximum of 99 horsepower and maximum 67 ft-lb of torque from 4,500 rpm all the way to 8,500 rpm.

Despite the hype on agility and power, naked sportbikes are more practical for most riders than an all out supersports or superbike due to the more comfortable riding ergonomics and a more usable engine which is tuned for more low down torque rather than absolute top end power.

Naked sportbikes are much easier and sometimes more fun to be used for daily commuting, stressless weekend joy rides or for long touring rides.

Because of its less aggressive nature than superbikes, they are also preferred by more mature sporty riders who need not go at full speed everytime they ride out.

BMW Motorrad Philippines have indicated early this year that the pricing for this model will be very attractive considering the updated specs and technology it has received over its successor, the F 800 R series.

There will be 2 variants:

Standard with an SRP of P655,000 and Sport with an SRP of P775,000.

They have already made preparations and sent local journalists during its international launch early this year prior for a summer launch, so we are very confident that information and awareness about this new model has already been overflowing in the internet and social media by this time.

Unfortunately, mass gatherings and other public activities were sadly put on hold because of the pandemic, but the F 900 R will finally be revelead to other local media and the general public as well this weekend as we will all get a chance to watch the digital launch via BMW Motorrad’s Facebook Page , You Tube Channel and on their Instagram account starting at 8 p.m. this Saturday.
