2023 Motul Super Series Opens on April 30 in Tarlac

The 2022 Super Series Nationwide Championships had a successful turnout with three legs held in Luzon courtesy of InsideRACING and three races as well in Cebu organized by The Racing Line. This success was possible of course with the solid support of event presenter Motul, a French oil brand renowned globally through the years. Motul is distributed in the country by Infiniteserv International.
The Tarlac Circuit Hill is the battleground for the first round of the Motul Super Series this year. The series opener is scheduled on April 30. Official tire of the Motul Super Series is FDR Tires which is distributed as well by Infiniteserv. Event partner is Yamaha Motor Philippines. Sanctioned by the Philippine FIM Federation, NAMSSA, together with its affiliate USRA, the Motul Super Series is star-studded starting this year with the participation of a roster of seasoned and promising riders who are part of Permanent Franchise Teams (PFT) of the series.

PFTs competing in the Motul Super Series are 4S1M EVO Yamaha spearheaded by John Emerson Inguito; 4S1M KC99 Sumulong composed of Kerwin Chang, Dharren de Guzman and JM Malonzo; CRA SEC Motosupply Aspira with riders Fritsy Claveria, Queenie Claveria, Kevin Balinang, Jan Christian Cascaro, Prince Jacob Rom, Robert Ryan Espiritu, Joshua Ancheta, Roberto Ferrer and Cheyenne Ban; Dad’s Garage Racing comprised of John Carlo Calderon, Roel Rubin, Shan Espedilla, Jezreel Martin Inguito, Carlsen Solis and Dwayne Pascual; Faito KOSO Denoo DE69 represented by Dustin Esguerra, Trahvys Paralejas, Eunice Mae Sta. Ana and Lawrence John Acay; Gulf Yamaha Visayas Mindanao with racers Sylvester Ramirez and Jaypee Obedencio; Honda Project M KOBY bannered by Jakob Sablaya and Yuri Olayvar; and TWPO Project Fi Philippines with riders Kervie Emmanuel Bergania and Ronald “Uno” Galzote. These teams will vie in the national classes Super Underbone 155 Open GP (Intermediate and Expert) and SP (Beginner and Novice) and Super Underbone 155 Limited SP and their clash for victory and points are indeed looked forward to by the local racing community.

Part of the national categories in the 2023 Motul Super Series is the Philippine Supermoto (SM1 Supermoto open to all for Open MX/Enduro up to 450cc, SE1 Supermoto GP for intermediate and expert riders on bikes Local Enduro Streetbike for up to 2550cc and SE1 Supermoto SP for beginner and novice on Local Enduro Streetbike up to 250cc). The Philippine Supermoto Championship debuted last April 16 at the second round of the MotoIR Championship and the response of race fans and riders is great.

There are also SuperSport national classes in the Motul Super Series this year. The SuperSport 300 GP is for intermediate and expert racers on 300-400cc bikes. Beginner and Novice riders can compete using 300-40cc bikes in the SuperSport SP. For the divisionals, categories are Super Scooter 160 for beginner and novice riders, Super Underbone 155 Open SP featuring beginner and novice racers and Super Maxi Scooter which is open for all riders. The Motul MotoIR Youth Cup Senior and Junior riders are also set to have their Race 5 and 6 on April 30 while the Senior Plus racers will have their second race.

Aside from national and divisional classes, there are Club Races for underbone, scooter and backbone race bikes as well during the opening of the Motul Super Series. The opening round of the Motul Super Series is going to be live streamed at the InsideRACING facebook page.
