Since its inauguration in 2012, the MotoIR Championships is where most of the top road racing riders of the nation compete using MotoIR Spec machines based on locally available sportbikes with identical attractive GP style bike bodykits similar to the championships being held in Europe, Thailand and Australia.
It has continuously worked to be a highly professional series with bike, rider and team presentation emphasized and encouraged. MotoIR past champions, race winners and most of top riders from previous seasons are now racing and winning in higher championships like the Philippine Superbike Championships and even at the international levels verifying the MotoIR championship is a good training ground for racers from the underbone and scooter community who would like to move up to more powerful machines.
Notable racers from the past decade of MotoIR competition include CEV Moto2 racer and ARRC Champion McKinley Kyle Paz, ARRC race winner Masato Fernando, CIV, WSBK and ARRC Superbike rider TJ Alberto, and Asia Talent Cup and ARRC Supersport rider Troy Alberto.
Also, multi time PSBK Champion Marvin Mangulabnan, ARRC UB rider John Emerson Inguito, former UBK and PSBK star Anthony Roman, MotoIR legend Rizaldy Canare, IRGP and MotoIR star Paul Mark Doblada, ARRC Suzuki Cup race winners Eane Jay Sobretodo and April King Mascardo, PSR and UBK Champion Gian Carlo Mauricio, IRGP champion Michael Altamira.
In addition are UBK and MotoIR star Herbert Lopez, Super Series Champion and IRGP legend Dustin Esguerra, Asia Talent Cup and KTM Asia RC Cup racer Ralph Kenneth Torres, Honda Dream Cup riders Robert Matthew Ramos and Koko Tadachi, MotoIR Champions Iraq Bauzon, Juver Mirasol, and IRGP Champions Josh Rueben Tan and Clyde Relativo.
The MotoIR Championship has attracted the interest of a number of manufacturers like Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki and KTM as well as top brands from the motorcycle industry suppliers to communicate the quality and performance of their products.
On its 10th year, after an absence of competition in 2020 due to obvious reasons, the MotoIR Championships will once again take to the track in 2021 with new and exciting classes and a new miniGP spec bike for MotoIR3.
The 2021 MotoIR Championships is in partnership with Denoo Motorcycle Oil, Racing Boy Philippines, UMA Racing Philippines, KOBY Philippines and the Carmona Race Track. It is sanctioned by the Unified Sports and Racing Association (USRA).
