Paredes Aims for MotoIR PSSBK Glory with the Aprilia RS 457

After a successful Team Launch at the World Trade Center Manila during the 17th IR Bike Fest, Aprilia is now ready to make its MotoIR Philippine Super Sport Bike (PSSBK) debut this weekend at the Tarlac Circuit Hill to challenge the established Japanese foothold in the class.

Pops Shock Attack (PSA) Aprilia SEC Racing’s Leandro Paredes will debut the RS 457 on Saturday’s (March 29) Motul Super Pole and 300V Sprint race before aiming to claim a debut win on Sunday’s PSSBK GP main race.

The team is also supported by MAPD aftermarket parts and Moto Classy apparel.

At the young age of six years, Paredes started his racing career by joining pocketbike races. Supported well by his family, he has moved to full motorcycle racing and through the years has been one of the promising racers in the Philippines.

Paredes became part of Pops Shock Attack Racing Team in 2024, one of the formidable race teams in the country, and had an excellent racing season in the Motul MotoIR Championship. Numerous wins in the Intermediate class of the Motul Super Sport Bike (SSBK) races manifested the skills of Paredes and the strength of his PSA team. He capped the year with a solid performance at the 17^th Alpinestars InsideRACING Grand Prix by placing 3^rd in the Motul Super Sport Bike Grand Prix and he was again hailed as the Fastest Intermediate in the said category.
