At home on any road

Living up to its name, the Multistrada V4 Rally is a motorcycle that further improves its ability to tackle any road, especially unpaved ones. On the 2026 V4 Rally model, the semi-active suspension with long travel (200 mm) is managed by an evolved Adaptive DSS (Ducati Skyhook Suspension) EVOstrategy with the introduction of new functions capable of raising the bar for comfort and effectiveness once again.

The Multistrada V4 Rally, in fact, confirms and evolves the autoleveling suspension function, which guarantees a constant setup regardless of the rider, passenger, and luggage configuration, thus maintaining the vehicle’s characteristics. However, the rider can now adjust suspension response even on the move, regardless of the selected Riding Mode, for greater comfort during a relaxed ride or more support and feedback when tackling the curves of a mountain route. Furthermore, the Adaptive DSS EVO system is able to understand the characteristics of the route being tackled and the rider’s riding style at any given moment and adjust the suspension’s hydraulic calibration to ensure the best possible control or comfort at all times.

The new DVO (Ducati Vehicle Observer) algorithm also makes the Multistrada V4 Rally even safer and more efficient, thanks to electronic controls that can operate with greater precision. This feature more accurately estimates the motorcycle’s position in space and its overall mass, simulating the input of 70 sensors that complement thedata provided by the inertial platform. The Ducati Vehicle Observer, developed by Ducati Corse in MotoGP, refines the ABS Cornering and Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) strategies.

Furthermore, the Electronic Combined Braking System, with advanced strategies and functions and active on some ABS levels, modulates the action of the front and rear brakes to always guarantee ideal performance, now also based on load. In addition to the front-to-rear strategy, which manages the rear brake even when only the front brake lever is operated, the 2026 Multistrada V4 Rally now features a rear-to-front strategy, which also activates the front brake when only the rear brake lever is operated. This strategy, introduced on the 2025 Multistrada V4, has been optimized for the Rally chassis and refined in its action, reducing the pitch of the bike during braking and thus improving comfort, especially when used in pairs.

Safety and technology

The Multistrada V4 S was the first motorcycle in the world equipped with a front and rear radar system to support Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), which makes riding less tiring on long motorway stretches, and Blind Spot Detection (BSD), which signals the presence of approaching vehicles in the blind spot of the mirrors. The 2026 Multistrada V4 Rally also features the Forward Collision Warning (FCW) function, which alerts the rider of potential collisions with a vehicle ahead with a pop-up on the dashboard.

The 2026 Multistrada V4 Rally also offers the rider improved visibility during night riding, with Ducati Cornering Lights that are more effective at illuminating the road when leaning and an optimized headlight cluster to reduce the shadow cone in front of the front wheel. Furthermore, the new Coming Home function allows you to leave the low beam on for a few seconds after turning off the ignition, making it easier to open the garage door when returning home in the dark. The Ducati Brake Light, which activates a high-frequency flash of the rear brake light during sharp deceleration, increases the visibility of the motorcycle to those behind. Finally, the option to mount the accessory rear fog light improves safety on days with poor visibility.

The new Multistrada V4 Rally is easier to handle when manoeuvring from a standstill and at low speeds. Thanks to the introduction of the Automatic Lowering Device, the bike quickly and automatically “lowers” when speeds drop below 10 km/h. When the rider accelerates, exceeding 50 km/h on the road or 20 km/h off-road, the bike automatically returns to its riding height. The system operates automatically or can be deactivated by the rider.

The 6.5-inch colour TFT dashboard has been updated in its user interface, offering more efficient and versatile suspension control. The system naturally retains map navigation functionality thanks to the Ducati Connect app, which also supports phone use to answer calls or listen to music when using a helmet equipped with an intercom system. A new, more intuitive interface for selecting the heating level for the grips and optional seat is available.

Comfortable for rider and passenger

The Multistrada V4 Rally is the ideal motorcycle for two-up riding and was designed to maximize comfort for both rider and passenger. Compared to the Multistrada V4, the windshield, 40 mm wider and 20 mm taller, offers greater protection. The position of the pannier mounts has been designed to provide ample legroom for the passenger, who also enjoys greater support and a sense of sturdiness from the top case thanks to a new die-cast support. Furthermore, thanks to the availability of different seat heights for both rider and passenger and a lowered suspension kit, the Multistrada V4 Rally can be customized to suit any two-up configuration.

In addition, to make loading and unloading the side panniers easier and facilitate any maintenance on long trips away from home, the centre stand, now evolved in its design to make lifting the motorcycle even easier, is standard. Likewise, to further enhance comfort, heated grips are now standard and adjustable to five temperature levels.

Engine and chassis

The 1,158 cc V4 Granturismo engine delivers 170 hp (125 kW) at 10,750 rpm and 121 Nm (12.3 kgm) at 8,750 rpm, with a particularly linear torque curve to ensure a smooth and progressive response at all engine speeds. This engine’s performance, combined with its total weight of just 66.7 kg, allows the V4 Granturismo to confirm its position as the benchmark in its category for power and lightness. These numbers are combined with sophisticated technical solutions, such as a counter-rotating crankshaft, derived from Ducati Corse’s experience in MotoGP, which works “against” the gyroscopic inertia of the wheels, as well as torque curves dedicated to each individual gear to combine smooth power delivery at low revs, robust mid-range torque, and power at high revs. Furthermore, the V4 Granturismo features an extended rear cylinder deactivation strategy, which keeps the rear cylinder bank deactivated from a standstill and at low revs, benefiting fuel consumption and emissions.

On the Multistrada V4 Rally, the engine is assisted by the new Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) 2.0. This system uses a strategy based solely on the gear shift drum angular position sensor, allowing for the use of a microswitch-free shift rod, offering the rider a more direct feel with a shorter travel.

In terms of chassis, the Multistrada V4 Rally maintains its lightweight and compact aluminium monocoque frame, with a double-sided shell-cast aluminium swingarm mounted on a pivot repositionedhigher, increasing the suspension’s anti-squat effect for more precise and effective handling even when fully loaded.

The monoshock is also able to handle a wider preload range, increased from 18 to 20 mm. This makes the standard calibration in the various load modes more balanced and increases the effect of the Automatic Lowering Device function in heavier load situations, when travelling with luggage and a passenger. For the same purpose, the braking system has been strengthened with a larger 280 mm rear brake disc.

The Multistrada V4 Rally is offered exclusively with lightweight, tubeless spoked wheels that contribute to improving the bike’s dynamic performance. They are equipped as standard with a TPMS sensor that displays tyre pressure on the dashboard.

Trim Levels

The new Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally is available in three different trim levels: Radar, equipped with Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Detection, and Forward Collision Warning; Adventure Travel & Radar, which adds aluminium side cases and heated rider and passenger seats; and Full Adventure, which completes this package with a street-legal Akrapovic muffler and a carbon fibre front mudguard.

Accessories and Apparel

As well as its class-leading standard equipment, the Multistrada V4 Rally also features a wide range of accessories. In addition to various seats to meet the ergonomic needs of rider and passenger, there are a number of windshield options and, of course, luggage solutions, designed for both the fuel tank and the rear plate—a top case or soft bag—for those who wish to further enhance the Multistrada V4 Rally’s all-round touring capabilities.

The aluminium panniers, available as accessories and standard on the Adventure Travel & Radar and Full Adventure trims, now feature three-position locking. This allows the panniers to be opened and closed without using the key, even when removed from the bike, thus increasing their practicality and versatility.

Ducati has also specifically designed several items of clothing to fully benefit from the Multistrada V4 Rally’s touring capabilities. The Tour Summer outfit, for example, features large ventilation zones, removable sleeves, and three independent layers, including a thermal lining and waterproof membrane, for comfort in all weather conditions. Or the Strada C5 outfit made of a comfortable, durable stretch fabric with modular thermal protection, thanks to a removable Gore-Tex® inner membrane and an inner down jacket that can also be used on its own once the bike is parked.

* New for the 2026 model year

Design

The Multistrada V4 Rally maintains a strong aesthetic identity with the standard version, despite its more globetrotting and off-road character. Its design embodies the stylistic elements that have always distinguished Multistrada models: weight-loaded front end, a slim and lightweight tail, and a compact front, which interpret the stylistic elements of Ducati Superbikes in a crossover style. The front view, in particular, brings it closer to the style of the new Panigale V4. The double headlight is highlighted by the new painted parts, thus regaining its prominent presence as on the 916 and 1098. The new muffler has a sharper line and an even more distinctive sound, helping to underline its sporty Ducati DNA. Its look is a synthesis of elegance and robustness, with a pronounced off-road attitude stemming from the 19-inch front wheel.

The aesthetic definition of the Multistrada V4 Rally is therefore closely linked to the concept of form following function. The need for a greater range, and therefore a larger fuel tank capacity, led to the need to redesign the front of the bike, with more powerful shoulders that, however, do not increase in height and maintain perfect integration with the slim and ergonomic central area. The fuel tank area, viewed from the side, also plays a key role in the design of the Multistrada V4 Rally and is enhanced by a redesigned “Rally” logo on the aluminium wing. The combination of different surfaces and materials gives the front end a highly technical and muscular image. The seat is now enhanced with sportier and more aggressive graphics.

The 2026 V4 Rally is available in two liveries, both playing on the contrast between Ducati Red and Jade Green painted parts, the dark-coloured mechanical base, and the brushed aluminium fuel tank. The latter is now protected from the rider’s knees by a side plate that serves as a stylistic element and recalls the similar solution on the Multistrada 1260.

The Jade Green/Brushed Aluminium livery, new for 2026, harks back to the colours more traditionally associated with the most unstoppable off-road cars and motorcycles, with the matte green contrasting with the exposed aluminium of the fuel tank and the gold-coloured rims, unmistakably communicating the globetrotting vocation of the Multistrada V4 Rally.

To improve passenger comfort, which plays a key role in long-range touring for those travelling as a couple, the side case and top box attachments are designed to increase the space available for the legs and torso, significantly increasing the habitability and comfort of the rear seat.

The meticulous study of aerodynamics, which Ducati pioneered in MotoGP, is also obviously a central theme for the Multistrada V4 family, which uses all the experience gained to improve comfort, quality, and riding pleasure. The Multistrada V4 Rally has introduced aerodynamic deflectors on the front that increase protection for the rider and especially the passenger, ensuring that the aerodynamic flows close further back than the standard Multistrada V4/V4 S version, and expanding the area of still air behind the fairing.

To improve thermal comfort, the leg air vents can be partially closed to maintain the heat released by the engine in cold weather. Two heat shields, one on the rear subframe and one on the swingarm, reduce the heat perceived by the rider and passenger. Two new deflectors in the area where the hot air exits from the radiator, adjacent to the aluminium wing of the fuel tank, help direct heat away from the legs, thus reducing the perceived temperature.

Furthermore, given the Multistrada V4 Rally’s greater propensity for off-road use, the lower sump guard has been enlarged compared tothe Multistrada V4 and is now more effective in protecting the engine from impacts.

Engine

The new Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally is powered by the 1,158 cc V4 Granturismo engine, capable of delivering 170 hp (125 kW) at 10,750 rpm and 125 Nm (12.7 kgm) at 8,750 rpm, with a particularly linear torque curve for a smooth and progressive response. This performance, combined with a weight of just 66.7 kg, defines an engine with class-leading power and lightness.

The V4 Granturismo features a counter-rotating crankshaft solution, developed from MotoGP experience, which works “against” the gyroscopic inertia of the wheels. Particular attention was paid to the gear ratios, which across the entire Multistrada V4 range feature a short first gear to facilitate off-road riding and low-speed manoeuvres, even with heavy loads. At the same time, sixth gear is long enough to maintain a moderate cruising speed during motorway journeys.

Even in the version mounted on the Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally, the V4 Granturismo maintains benchmark maintenance intervals, with an oil change scheduled every 15,000 km, while valve clearance inspection and adjustment, if necessary, is required every 60,000 km.

Extended Deactivation System

To improve emissions and fuel consumption, the Multistrada V4 Rally has been equipped with an electronic extended deactivation strategy for the rear cylinder bank since its introduction, a technical solution that represents a world first for a production engine. While the V4 Granturismo previously deactivated the two rear cylinders when stopped with the engine running, this deactivation also extends to low revs riding under specific conditions.

With this strategy, even at vehicle speeds other than zero, the control unit, based on the gear engaged and other engine parameters (such as throttle opening and engine speed), interrupts the combustion of the rear cylinder bank at low speeds.

As speed increases or when the rider wishes to fully exploit the engine’s power, the cylinders are re-ignited, ensuring the character and performance of the V4 Granturismo.

The system is active in all Riding Modes, with different calibration for each gear. However, it never activates in first gear to avoid starting from a standing start with the rear cylinder bank deactivated.

Viber Image 2025 10 09 16 00 36 520

Chassis

The Multistrada V4 Rally’s chassis design maintains the lightweight and compact aluminium monocoque solution, characterized by chassis dimensions that combine precision and fluidity when entering corners. To improve steering precision during sport riding and under full load, the double-sided aluminium swingarm is now mounted on a pivot repositioned higher, increasing the suspension’s anti-squat effect.

The rear shock absorber also offers a wider preload range, increasing from 18 to 20 mm. This provides a more balanced standard setting in the various load modes and increases the effectiveness of the automatic lowering device, automatically reducing the seat height when speeds drop below 10 km/h.

Suspension

The Multistrada V4 Rally is equipped with semi-active Marzocchi suspension controlled by the Adaptive Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS) EVO system. This system allows for adjustment of the preload and hydraulic compression and rebound damping of the fork and rear shock absorber. Hydraulic damping adjustment is instantaneous and integrated into the Riding Modes and can be customized via the on-board computer. The semi-active system, equipped with a fork sensor that quickly and accurately transmits the position of the front wheel instantaneously, interfaces with the various on-board sensors to “read” riding style and road conditions and continuously adjust the setup, thus ensuring the perfect setup in any riding, road, and/or load condition.

To enhance the Multistrada V4 Rally’s off-road capabilities, the suspension features 200 mm of travel, increasing the travel by 30 mm and 20 mm at the front and rear respectively, compared to the Multistrada V4. Ground clearance reaches 230 mm (10 mm more than the Multistrada V4), making riding easier on the most challenging sections.

Furthermore, thanks to the Adaptive DSS EVO system, you can quickly adjust the starting setup according to the various load situations or rely on the Autolevelling function, which recognizes the bike’s setup and automatically adjusts it to restore the seat to the ideal height from the ground in the various riding configurations.

Suspension Mode

The Ducati Skyhook Suspension EVO, in the version introduced on the 2025 Multistrada V4 S and adopted by the Rally, adds the ability to customize the hydraulic damping of the suspension even on the move. Thanks to a dedicated button, the rider can choose the calibration of the hydraulic component to change the suspension response, regardless of the selected Riding Mode, for greater comfort during a relaxed ride or more support and feedback when tackling the curves of a mountain route.

Bump Detection

The Adaptive Ducati Skyhook Suspension EVO system can identify the approach to bumps or potholes. Through the sensor mounted on the fork, the system recognizes that it has encountered a pothole or bump when it detects a sudden acceleration of the front suspension. The Bump Detection function improves rider comfort by adjusting the compression and rebound damping of the monoshock accordingly, thus absorbing the bumps as much as possible.

The system is active in all Riding Modes except Enduro.

New Adaptive DSS EVO Features

On the new Multistrada V4 Rally, the Adaptive Ducati Skyhook Suspension EVO offers two important new electronic strategies to better adapt to road conditions and the rider’s riding style.

When the Offroad Suspension Mode is selected in AUTO mode, the Adaptive DSS EVO system can detect whether the rider is riding on a gentle dirt track or a more challenging route and adjust the hydraulic settings to best suit the terrain.

Furthermore, in all Suspension Modes in AUTO mode, the Adaptive Ducati Skyhook Suspension EVO analyses the rider’s riding style and, similarly, determines the most suitable suspension hydraulic settings for that specific situation.

Automatic Lowering Device and Easy Lift

To make it easier and safer to put your feet on the ground during low-speed manoeuvres, especially with a passenger on board, the Multistrada V4 S is equipped with the Automatic Lowering Device (ALD). This allows for a quicker and more significant reduction in the bike’s ride height than the Minimum Preload system, by electronically resetting the shock absorber preload. The system is automatic (it can be deactivated by the rider) and lowers the bike when speeds drop below 10 km/h, returning it to the riding position at 50 km/h on-road and 20 km/h off-road.

To facilitate raising the bike from its side stand, the Easy Lift function adjusts the suspension hydraulics. The function fully opens the valves of the semi-active units for approximately three minutes after the ignition is turned on to maximize oil flow, thereby softening the suspension and making it easier to raise the bike from the side stand.

Tyres and Wheels

The Multistrada V4 Rally is equipped with spoked wheels measuring 3.00 x 19″ at the front and 4.5 x 17″ at the rear, shod with Pirelli SCORPION™ Trail II tyres (120/70-19″ at the front and 170/60-17″ at the rear). The Multistrada V4 is also approved for use with Pirelli SCORPION™ Rally and SCORPION™ Rally STR tyres, also in the 120/70-19″ and 170/60-17 sizes.

Brembo Braking System

The Multistrada V4 Rally’s front brake system features Brembo Stylema monobloc radial calipers, radial master cylinders with adjustable levers, and dual 330 mm front discs. The rear features a new, more powerful system, with a single 280 mm diameter, 6 mm thick disc gripped by a floating caliper, always Brembo.

The foot control features regressive kinematics for improved modulation, and a brake pedal with an enlarged surface area that improves rider feel.

Viber Image 2025 10 09 16 00 37 264

Electronics

The Multistrada V4 family confirms its position as a benchmark in terms of technology and safety, even with the Rally version. The Multistrada V4 was the first motorcycle equipped with a front and rear radar system to support Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), which makes riding less tiring on long stretches of road, and Blind Spot Detection (BSD), which signals the presence of approaching vehicles in the blind spot of the mirrors. Furthermore, with the 2026 version, the Multistrada V4 Rally introduces the Forward Collision Warning (FCC) function, which, via a pop-up on the dashboard, warns the rider of a possible collision with a vehicle ahead. The system is adjustable, and can be deactivated, to suit the rider’s preferences.

To further support active safety, the Multistrada V4 Rally also offers ABS Cornering, which allows the braking power of its system to be exploited even when leaning, Ducati Cornering Lights (DCL) with advanced operation, which improve night-time visibility by illuminating the part of the road on the inside of the bend, Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) DVO and Ducati Traction Control (DTC) in the “cornering” version.

Ducati Vehicle Observer

Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) has evolved in its operation thanks to an algorithm, developed by Ducati Corse, called Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO). This algorithm allows for an instantaneous estimate of the physical, kinematic, and dynamic parameters that cannot be measured in practice, which impact ground forces, accelerations, and the maximum torques that the vehicle can withstand in various riding conditions.

Thanks to the additional parameters calculated by DVO, the DWC system is able to define wheelie and wheelspin targets with much greater precision than was possible using data provided by the inertial platform alone. In this way, control intervenes in an almost predictive manner, allowing the rider to exploit the bike’s performance more effectively in maximum safety.

ABS Cornering

The Multistrada V4 Rally offers maximum active safety thanks to the cornering functionality of its Bosch 10.3ME ABS, applied to the Brembo system. This system can independently modulate braking power on both wheels, even when the bike is leaning, thus preventing the risk of falling due to wheel lockup. ABS Cornering receives real-time lean data from the inertial platform and, by interacting with the Riding Modes, adapts its action to the riding conditions and situations.

The Ducati ABS can be set to three levels, which vary its behaviour and functionality. These levels are associated by default with the different Riding Modes. Rear-end lift under braking, rear wheel lockup, and potential front-end lockup when leaning are situations managed differently by the three different settings, ranging from the most conservative associated with Urban, Wet, and Touring, to the more dynamic riding mode (Sport), and finally the most relaxed setting associated with Enduro mode, which limits the anti-lock braking effect to the front and allows the rear end to drift on rough surfaces. ABS can only be deactivated in the Enduro Riding Mode.

Stability and safety are also increased by the Electronic Combined Braking System, which modulates the action on the front and rear in ABS level 3, present by default in the Urban, Wet, and Touring Riding Modes.

The system now operates both front-to-rear and rear-to-front logic, depending on the rider’s input and the bike’s performance. The front-to-rear logic, when the front brake control is activated, also activates the rear brake as needed, to improve system performance and increase motorcycle stability, as was the case in the past, but with greater effectiveness during higher decelerations.

The rear-to-front logic, in addition to significantly contributing to slowing the motorcycle, is extremely effective on the dynamics, causing the suspension to flatten when cornering, which, by lowering the centre of gravity, makes the Multistrada V4 Rally capable of even tighter trajectories. It also increases riding relaxation by reducing the number of times the rider has to rely on the front brake control.

The anti-dive function is now more effective because the system adjusts the hydraulic braking based on the actual pressure of the brake calipers, thus taking into account any action of the ABS system, and precisely knowing the position of the forks along their travel. Furthermore, the combined braking system varies the anti-dive and anti-lock action based on the selected load mode, allocating more braking torque to the rear unit when it can take advantage of a greater load on the rear. In this way, the system optimizes braking action for the ideal load transfer and maximizes braking effectiveness.

New “Only Front” strategy on ABS level 1

The new strategy, designed for off-road use, distributes braking force to the rear even when only the front control is operated. This increases effective deceleration by up to 50%, while still maintaining a slip-limiting function as long as the braking force does not exceed a predetermined level. When the rider brakes only with the rear, or the control force exceeds a predetermined level, the system does not perform the ABS function on the rear, allowing the wheel to lock, a useful manoeuvre for off-road riding.

EBC (Engine Brake Control)

The EBC engine brake management system is derived from the one developed by Ducati for racing and allows the rider tochoose the intensity of the engine braking applied to the rear wheel when the throttle is closed. The EBC system offers three levels of intervention, which can be selected differently for each Riding Mode.

Ducati Brake Light EVO (BLE)

To increase the visibility of the motorcycle to those behind during heavy deceleration, the Multistrada V4 is now equipped with the Brake Light EVO system. When deceleration exceeds a certain limit, the rear brake light switches from fixed to high-frequency flashing. Furthermore, the system now also activates the hazard warning lights at the same time, deactivating them when the rider starts accelerating again.

DTC (Ducati Traction Control)

DTC manages the loss of rear wheel grip by integrating data from the wheel speed sensors and the inertial platform, also considering the lean angle. DTC is therefore able to control rear wheelspin, increasing the motorcycle’s performance and active safety. The system offers eight different levels of intervention, selectable based on conditions, riding style, and rider skill.

Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC)

The system increases rider safety by analysing the bike’s setup, detecting wheelies, and managing engine power accordingly. DWC is integrated into the Riding Modes and can be adjusted to eight levels.

On the new Multistrada Rally MY 2026, the system is particularly precise even when the overall weight of the motorcycle, plus any passengers and/or bags, varies thanks to interaction with the DVO.

Riding Modes

The Multistrada V4 Rally offers three Power Modes and five Riding Modes, which allow the engine power and the intervention of the riding assistance systems to be adapted to the situation and the rider’s preferences.

Sport Riding Mode

The Sport Riding Mode is the most effective on asphalt. In this Riding Mode, the Multistrada V4 Rally delivers its 170 hp with a direct and gutsy response, managed by a sporty Skyhook suspension setup. Ducati Traction Control and Ducati Wheelie Control intervention are kept to a minimum, and the ABS is set to level 2, which allows controlled rear wheel lift to maximize braking performance while maintaining the Cornering function. It’s the ideal choice for expert riders who want to fully enjoy the Multistrada V4’s performance.

Touring Riding Mode

In Touring Riding Mode, the Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally’s maximum power remains 170 hp, but delivery is softer and more progressive, and the DTC and DWC intervention levels are increased for greater vehicle controllability. The ABS is set to level 3, the safest and most prudent level thanks to the limitation of rear wheel lift, optimization of combined braking, and Cornering function active. The suspension setup is designed for long journeys and offers maximum comfort for rider and passenger.

Wet Riding Mode

Wet Riding Mode is designed for riding on low-grip surfaces, especially wet ones. The RM limits maximum power to 114 hp with a particularly smooth throttle response (Low Power Mode), and the default level of electronic controls is set to offer maximum stability, ensuring improved grip and stability even when grip conditions are not optimal.

Urban Riding Mode

Power output in Urban Riding Mode is reduced to 114 hp with a particularly smooth and progressive response, while the suspension calibration adapts to the roughness of urban surfaces such as bumps, potholes, and manhole covers, optimally managing the constant changes in surface. DTC and DWC switch to a very high level of intervention. The ABS is set to level 3.

Enduro Riding Mode

The Enduro Riding Mode allows the Multistrada V4 Rally to fully exploit its off-road potential, thanks to the 19-inch front wheel, ergonomics specifically designed for riding standing (more advanced than the Multistrada V4), and the increased ground clearance provided by the new suspension.

The Enduro Riding Mode limits engine power to 114 hp with a dedicated Engine Mode, characterized by a more dynamic and direct response than the equivalently powerful Urban Mode. The Enduro Riding Mode also sets the Adaptive DSS Evolution specifically for off-road riding, indicating the selected load mode with a specific icon depicting an off-road helmet. The DTC and DWC systems switch to the lowest level of intervention, and the ABS is set to level 1, suitable for off-road use on low-grip surfaces. In this case, the rear wheel lift detection function, the Cornering function, and rear wheel intervention are deactivated.

DQS 2.0

The MultistradaV4 Rally features electronically assisted gear shifting via the new DQS 2.0. This system uses a strategy based solely on the gear shift drum’s angular position sensor, allowing for the use of a microswitch-free shift rod, offering the rider a more direct feel with a shorter travel.

Hands-Free Ignition

The Multistrada V4 Rally features a Hands-Free ignition system, a solution introduced to the Ducati range with the Multistrada in 2010. This allows the rider to keep the key in their pocket and start the bike (or simply unlock the steering lock) with a dedicated button. The fuel tank is opened using the mechanical flip key integrated into the electronic key; alternatively, the rider can choose the optional keyless fuel tank cap.

Vehicle Hold Control (VHC)

The new Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally is equipped with the Vehicle Hold Control (VHC) system, which allows for safe and comfortable restarts even on uphill gradients. By pressing the brake control while the motorcycle is stationary, the system automatically stops the bike by activating the rear brake and managing brake pressure during acceleration, leaving the rider only to adjust the throttle and clutch.

Radar Technology

The Ducati Multistrada V4 was the first production motorcycle in the world to adopt radar technology, an advanced assistance system capable of supporting and making riding more comfortable by recreating the motorcycle’s surroundings. On the Multistrada V4, this enables two functions: Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Spot Detection, which significantly improve comfort and assistance, especially on long motorway journeys.

Adaptive Cruise Control

The radar positioned at the front of the vehicle, perfectly integrated into the front of the Multistrada V4, controls the operation of Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), which automatically adjusts the distance (selectable from four levels) from other vehicles through controlled braking and acceleration when riding at speeds between 30 and 160 km/h. This system, derived from the automotive industry, has been evolved and developed to meet the dynamics and ergonomics of a two-wheeled vehicle. Specifically, the system’s ability to accelerate and decelerate has been limited to ensure the rider can maintain constant control of the vehicle in all situations. ACC can be engaged and adjusted using dedicated buttons on the left-hand switchgear. Thanks to DQS up & down, the rider can shift up or down without ACC deactivating during acceleration and deceleration. ACC allows for more comfortable riding, especially on long motorway journeys.

Blind Spot Detection

The rear radar, located under the taillight, can detect vehicles in the blind spot, the area not visible either directly to the rider or in the rearview mirror. The BSD (Blind Spot Detection) system signals this situation via LEDs located on the rearview mirrors, illuminating the one on the side where it detects a vehicle in the blind spot. BSD also warns of vehicles approaching from behind at high speed. In both cases, if the rider activates the turn signal indicating the intention to change lanes, BSD flashes the LED, signalling a potentially dangerous situation. The user can adjust the brightness of the system’s LEDs to three different levels using the dedicated menu.

Forward Collision Warning

The radar located at the front of the vehicle also controls Forward Collision Warning, an electronic system capable of determining potential collisions the rider may be involved in. In this case, the system displays a highly visible warning on the dashboard, alerting the rider with due advance notice and allowing them to make riding corrections if necessary. The FCC can be adjusted in terms of range/sensitivity and activated or deactivated from the dashboard.

 Technological Dashboard

The Multistrada V4 Rally features a 6.5-inch TFT dashboard with mineral glass for optimal readability in all conditions. The graphics are comprehensive and easy to read, featuring a circular tachometer with digital needle and gear indicator, as well as fuel level, outside and engine temperature, electronic control levels, Riding Mode, suspension settings, and navigation map. The latter is activated through the Sygic GPS navigation app, implemented thanks to the phone mirroring feature, which also allows you to manage phone calls, consult your phonebook, or listen to your own music through the Ducati Multimedia System (DMS).

All control is via the joystick on the left-hand switchgear, allowing for quick and easy menu navigation. Changing Riding Modes and suspension settings is done via dedicated keys, while Adaptive Cruise Control is managed via a classic button, along with the + and – keys, which increase or decrease the distance you want to maintain from the vehicle in front.

Your mobile phone, which can be safely charged, is now housed in a new ventilated compartment equipped with a power socket under the flap on the left side of the front fairing. There is also a second 12V charging socket on the right side of the dashboard.

The Multistrada V4 Rally also offers a tyre pressure monitoring system as standard equipment.
