Feeling good on his bike, he was the fastest rider in the Sunday morning warm-up. He made his amazing and successful bid to win for the Philippines a few hours later by winning the morning Round 3 of the ACCR, defeating top riders of Thailand, Indonesia, Japan, Chinese Taipei, Korea, India and many more.

The Round 4 race saw another 10 laps of intense action. Kerwin got a good start from Grid 3 and was second as the ACCR riders  poured into turn 1 with homeboy Chinese Taipei leading and the Thai rider in 3rd. Chang looked strong and made an attempt to take the lead at the start of Lap 3 but Chinese Taipei prevailed and the leading two broke away from the pack. Chang made the fastest lap of the race on Lap 4 and took the lead! Chinese Taipei regained it a lap later. Halfway in the race, the leading two riders has distanced themselves from the pack. It was now the Philippines vs Chinese Taipei to battle for the win again. Chang tried again on lap 6, but Chinese Taipei closed the door. However, the Filipino made one last attempt on the last lap and the Taiwanese had no answer. Kerwin Chang won!
