Reyes Starts 2026 Yamaha Blu Cru Asia Pacific Campaign with Double Top 10 Finish

Moses Gerard Reyes, the lone Filipino in the opening round of this year’s Yamaha Blu Cru Asia Pacific, delivered decently but vows to have better results in the upcoming rounds of the championship.

Reyes had a strong season ender in the 2025 championship with a double P3 finish in Thailand. He looks forward for a better 2026 and worked hard to prepare for this year’s competition.

Round 1

The first round was held at the Sydney Motorsports Park in Australia on March 27 and 28. Reyes competed against young racers from China, Vietnam, Thailand, Australia, Malaysia and New Zealand.

Things looked good for the 15-year-old Filipino as he was the third fastest in the merged free practice results. He also did well in qualifying and was P7 at the starting grid comprised of 18 riders. In Race 1, Reyes crossed the finish line in P10 while Race 2 saw him ending up at P9. He is currently ninth in the point standings after the first round.

Round 2 of Yamaha Blu Cru Asia Pacific is scheduled on May 1-3 at The Bend Motorsport Park in Australia.  Launched by Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. and Thai Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd., the Yamaha R3 bLU cRU Asia-Pacific Championship aims to discover and support talented young riders in the Asia-Pacific region.
