Gracie Reyes Podiums for the Philippines!

For the second consecutive year, Gracie Reyes has represented the country in the FIM Asia Women’s Cup of Circuit Racing (ACCR) competition held in Thailand, featuring top lady racers in Asia. Gracie missed out on the podium in 2025 with a P6 and P4 result but the Filipina pride came back stronger and brought home a trophy in the 2026 edition of the event, a feat appreciated and celebrated by her fans and colleagues in the local motorcycle racing industry.

With her dominance in the Motul MotoIR National Championship’s SSBK Women’s class having four wins out of four races, Gracie again secured the spot to race for the country and Team NAMSSA Philippines. This year’s FIM Asia Women’s Cup of Circuit Racing took place again at the Nakhonchaisri Circuit in Thailand on September 12 and 13 during Round 4 of the R2M Thailand Superbikes Championship. Gracie is supported by Watanabe Riding Development, Wheeltek, Motul Luzon distributor Infiniteserv International, Alpinestars Philippines, KYT Philippines, National Motorcycle Sports and Safety Association (NAMSSA), Unified Sports and Racing Association (USRA) for Motorcycles and InsideRACING.

Armed with improved riding skills and unwavering fighting spirit and determination, Gracie held her own against highly skilled lady racers from Japan, South Korea, India, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Nepal. The Filipina was P2 at the Free Practice held on September 12 and had a good pace during qualifying but crashed and got ran over by another rider after she tried to overtake. Gracie shared, “Not satisfied with the result, but I am still blessed to secure P3 and walk away with no injuries, just bruises. I am excited and hungry for tomorrow!”

The next day, Gracie was fighting for the podium in Race 1 but she unfortunately suffered a high side crash at the last lap as her front tire got hit by another rider’s rear tire. Gracie tried to stand up and still finish the race but she was not able to do so because of the impact of the crash. She had a better result in Race 2 and still had the pace but felt her bike was losing power mid race and became wobbly in straights. Gracie ended up Race 2 in P3 and she placed 5th overall in this year’s competition.

“Ambulance to podium! It was a tough weekend, but I learned a lot from this race. I still gave everything I could despite my motorcycle having a problem and my whole body was hurting from the crashes I’ve had. Still happy with the improvements I’ve made compared with my race here last year. Very grateful to Coach Dashi Watanabe and Watanabe Riding Development! Thank you, Lord, for a safe race weekend. It was indeed a remarkable race weekend for Gracie in Thailand and she did a good job racing for the Philippines. However, as she has said, the job is not yet done as after a few days she will back at the Tarlac Circuit Hill for the fifth round of the Motul MotoIR National Championship on September 19 and 20 wherein she aims to defend her title in the SSBK Women’s class and conquer the SSBK GP category again with the support of Team Wheeltek Racing Powered by Kawasaki.
