IRGP Chairman Al Camba with Alpinestars Philippines General Manager Mr. Lester Tiu

The event will be known as “14th Annual Alpinestars InsideRACING Grand Prix”. It is the biggest annual race tradition for the country’s motorcycle road racing fans as it aims to provide a “GP” style race event to the local racers and teams. It is a prestigious annual event where leading manufacturers and top racing teams participate. It will be sanctioned by the Unified Sports and Racing Association (USRA), an affiliate of FETAP.

Since its inception in 1963, Alpinestars is now a world-leading manufacturer of professional racing products, motorcycling airbag protection, high-performance apparel and technical footwear.

They are developed and used on track by world-class riders for many decades now including 2021 MotoGP World Champion Fabio Quartararo, 2021 Moto3 World Champion Pedro Acosta, multi SBK World Champion Jonathan Rea, Marc Marquez, Alex Rins, Francesco Bagnaia, Maverick Viñales and many more. What they learn and develop on track are applied and adapted to every Alpinestars product to benefit all its customers.

Early in 2019, Alpinestars Philippines was established led by Charlie Ong, Lester Tiu and Peter Yung and strategically joined the IR Bikefest in March 2019 as a Presenter to emphasize the brand’s level.

A few days later, the first Alpinestars flagship showroom was opened by end of March. Alpinestars’ wide variety of products for riders and racers are available at the store. Since then, the flagship store has been a frequent place for bikers to hang out and bond while a number of big name riders and celebrities, like Xian Lim,  have chosen to visit and shop for their riding gears.

The local racers are also supported by Alpinestars led by 2016-2019 champion Marvin Mangulabnan, multi PSBK Champion Dashi Watanabe, BJ Ang, Jacq Buncio and many more.

Meanwhile, the annual Alpinestars Track Day held every year at the Clark International Speedway is an event where hundreds of track enthusiasts join with different skill levels, riding different types and brands of bikes (above 200cc bikes, maxi scooters and full bore big bikes).

“To add the biggest and most prestigious motorcycle race in the Philippines, the IRGP, was a goal of the brand to further expose and reach out to more riders beyond superbikes. Safety is for everybody and Alpinestars has something to offer for all types of riders wether you are a scooter, an underbone or a big bike rider. And wether you ride for competition or for leisure, ” said IRGP Chairman Al Camba.
