This is another Custom Honda Ruckus build by Fatty Tires Custom Bikes. The scoot is owned by Roy Albert Resurreccion, a Physician and a proud Manilenyo. The scoot had a lot of history as it underwent several phases until it landed in the capable hands of Bryan Ubaldo of Fatty Tires Custom bikes.

Doc Roy wanted the scoot to be “very street” a city slicker that will bring you from point A to B with ease, a scoot that combines both timeless retro appeal and practicality to navigate the urban jungle around the metro.”I always had an affinity for both 4 and 2-wheeled vehicles.  The complexity of how they work is why I’m so drawn into them.  I’ve always admired personally crafted vehicles, the pandemic gave me time to actually start my own project,” Doc Roy shared.

The scoot featured a wide array of custom-made parts such as the custom CNC made aluminum mag wheels 12×4.5 (front) and 12×8 (rear) black finish, custom reconstructed Ruckus frame, swing arm extension (custom CNC made of high grade aluminum), custom leather seat (diamond pattern), custom lightened disk rotors, custom alloy brake caliper brackets, custom-machined outer tube front suspension and custom-painted frame, body panels and mags. It also features aftermarket parts such as Duro 100×70 (front) and 140×70 (rear) tires, plastic engine covers (carbon fiber hydro dipped) LED tail lights, restored original Ruckus dual headlights, Rizoma brake levers, TTGR mono shock, Leovince exhaust system, Earls steel braided brake lines, MTB handlebars and custom-made clamp.

“The custom wheel set that Fatty Tires custom-crafted for the bike is unique and I love how they focused on precision and balance without sacrificing aesthetics. I always believed that every bike needs personality and character which should be synergistic with its rider. The process is both tedious and at times frustrating, but just like every build, the end product is usually worth it,” Doc Roy said.

“I would like to thank my parents and family who support my hobbies. To all my friends that shared my passion (special mention to Jean Veran, Mel Biteng, Joey Hizon and Ponce Luistro), your inputs where instrumental in finishing this build;  Bryan Ubaldo and the fatty tires custom bikes team and their golden hands, you made this happen; Roy De Belen of DAGA works for the maintenance of the bikes and for being the ever reliable mechanic; to Sir Arnel Santos-Yñigo and Sir Al Camba of InsideRACING Magazine, thank you for featuring my scoot, this is bliss! Of course, thank you the Lord for providing and keeping us safe always,” Doc Roy added to conclude our interview.
