Daquigan breaks into the Top 10 in Europe with P7 in Spain!

Friday (October 31) started well for Alfonsi Daquigan at the start of Round 5 of the 2025 FIM European Talent Cup in Montmeló, Spain.

“Good start this weekend on a new track, let’s keep the momentum going. Happy to be back with my Junior Talent Team,” said Alfonsi.

He was fastest in FP1 and P9 in FP2! He exclaimed, “Good day, good feeling! I’m in the right direction and ready for more tomorrow!”

In Qualifying 1, he was fastest in Q1 Group B and moved up automatically to Q2. His time was faster than the P1 rider in Group A!

In the final Q2, Daquigan was nearly in the Top 10 in P11 in Q2 Group B against the best junior riders in the world despite being almost 10kph down in top speed. It is the best qualifying so far for Alfonsi this season and he will start in P13 for the Combined Grid .We are indeed witnessing peak AD51! He shared, “Ready for business tomorrow. Staying calm but I will be all in!”

In the race, Alfonsi had a great start and was immediately up to P5 in Lap 1. He settled to battle in the Top 7 lead group through the race, moving up to P3 with 10 laps to go.. He then moved back to P8 mid race. But by the start of the penultimate lap, he was in P2 behind his Indonesian teammate Ramadhipa but dropped to P11 as everyone got aggressive. At the flag, he finished in P9 and moved up to P7 after some post race penalties.” It was a first Top 10 in P7 for Daquigan after a fight for victory and best European result so far!

After conquering Asia, Daquigan has now introduced himself into the top 10 in Europe!
