Drive-Thru LTO Renewal has served more than 2,000 motorists so far

“The FIRST and ONLY drive-thru vehicle registration renewal in the Visayas of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) Region 7 has served more than 2,000 motorists in its first month of operations.

This pioneer registration renewal initiative is part of LTO’s mandate of adapting to the ‘new normal’ wherein public health and safety protocols are given priority and strictly practiced in its Motor Vehicle Inspection Center (MVIC) Complex in Subangdaku, Mandaue City.

In the past month, over 1,113 motor vehicles owners and 1,299 motorcycle owners have renewed their registrations as of Tuesday, August 11, 2020.

LTO 7 Regional Director Victor Emmanuel Caindec said that the MVIC drive-thru facility started last July 6, 2020 and adopting this system is very timely, especially with the continuing threat of the coronavirus (COVID-19).”
