Qatar GP: Ducati’s Bagnaia on Pole! Rossi in top 4

Ducati Lenovo Team‘s Francesco Bagnaia is on Pole with an all time circuit lap record of 1:52.772 at Losail! It is his maiden MotoGP pole position in his first qualifying session in factory colors.

Ducati and Yamaha occupy the top 7 grid positions for the Barwa Grand Prix of Qatar.

Monster Yamaha team mates Fabio Quartararo and Maverick Viñales followed in 2nd and 3rd to complete the front row.

Petronas Yamaha SRT’s Valentino Rossi on a competitive 4th leads row 2 with team mate Franco Morbidelli in 7th. Rossi was the Top Independent rider as well, taking the parc ferme slot alongside the top 3 qualifiers. It looks like “The Doctor” is happy with his new team and will be fighting for his 200th MotoGP podium tomorrow.

Meanwhile, early pace setter Jack Miller was a disappointing 5th for Ducati Lenovo with a consistent Johan Zarco 6th for Pramac Ducati after registering the all time fastestest top speed ever at 362.4 kph.

Aprilia Racing Team Gresini continues to impress with a top 8 qualifying spot for Aleix Espargaro.

Suzuki Ecstar team mates Alex Rins and Joan Mir completed the top ten. They will have to fight it through the field in the race.

There are no Hondas of KTMs starting in the top 10 for the opening GP of 2021.
