Enjoy and be proud of yourself – Yamaha to McKinley Kyle Paz

Before going to Qualifying 1, VR46 Master Camp rider McKinley Kyle Paz had a meet and greet session with the media and some of his racer friends.

The Filipino pride admitted that he is nervous but is focused on improving his riding and the adjustments he has to make in the FIM CEV Repsol Moto2 class wherein he is currently the first and only Filipino competitor.

Kyle who is using #32 also shared that the GP bike he is using in the said class is so different from the race bikes he has ridden before in terms of power, speed and weight. He said that he is getting used to riding the CEV Moto2 bike and he is enjoying the experience.

Yamaha Motor Philippines’ Mr. Jordan Cornista who is accompanying Kyle in his CEV Moto2 journey said that the experience is great. There are a lot of challenges but Kyle is getting used to how things are done there and the Wonder Boy has adjusted to the new environment. Mr. Cornista said that with Kyle’s performance, they are expecting a good result in the middle of the pack.

Kyle’s mother Ayet Fernando Paz reminded her son of their “lucky charm” which is always praying before going out to race.

Meanwhile, Yamaha Motor Philippines’ Mr. Toni Acuesta’s message to Kyle was “The goal is your safety. Enjoy and be proud of yourself. Let’s race the flag of the Philippines together with Yamaha.”

After the answering the quetions of the media, a pit tour was held and Yamaha Motor Racing’s Ms. Maria explained and showed the VR46 Master Camp paddock and race bikes.

Kyle’s Moto2 races will be held tomorrow June 13 at Circuito de Barcelona-Catalunya in Spain. Race 1 is at 12 pm (6 pm Philippine time) and Race 2 is at 3 pm (9 pm Philippine time). You can watch it here.
