Filipino Paz ends 3rd fastest in ARRC Pre Season Test

Team Uma Racing-Yamaha Philippines is off to a good start in the just concluded ARRC Official Test held at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia a few days ago.

McKinley Kyle Paz from Taytay, Rizal registered the 3rd fastest overall after 5 sessions in the UB150 class on board his Yamaha Sniper MXi with a time of 2:34.27s, only around 0.2 seconds slower than the fastest time set in the test.

“Maganda po yung bike and magaling ang team. Un oras ko po solo run lang, hindi pa po ako naka-draft! Tutulin pa po ako kaya sana ay pagpalain pa tayo ni Lord this weekend,” said Kyle.

Another Uma Racing Yamaha rider from Maju Motor Asia Malaysia set the fastest with a time of 2:34.016s followed by an Indonesian rider with a time of 2:34.158s.

Meanwhile, Kyle’s teammate Masato Fernando from Guiguinto, Bulacan did well to end up 19th fastest out of 28 riders with a time of 2:36.767s in his first UB150 race in the ARRC.

The first race of the 2019 Asia Road Race Championship will officially start tomorrow at Sepang for Qualifying.
