After getting acclimated to a much-improved field of competition in round 1. The duo was better prepared for this next bout. For race 1, it was as close as it could get with no rider gaining a substantial lead throughout. But a nasty spill in the last lap on turn 15 took out half of the riders which included Mascardo. Mauricio, who was spared from the massive spill, finished the race in 11th.

Gian who wanted to build off his recent finish, unfortunately bowed out of the race due to technical problems. The team would be anchored by April who wanted to avenge his DNF in the last race. He would enjoy a taste of the lead during the race but would have to settle for 6th to end round 2 of the ARRC.
