Team Yamaha VR46 Master Camp’s McKinley Kyle Paz finished in P10 in Race 1 of the FIM CEVRepsol Moto2 European Championships at the Motorland Aragon Circuit in Alcañiz, Spain.

Paz did another mature and error-free race. After starting from P14, he made a good start to maintain his position in the early laps before moving up to P13 on Lap 8 thanks to consistent lap times . At this point, he was only 0.8s behind STK600 leader Escrig.

A yellow flag on Lap L11 after after a rider crashed and at the same time he overtook Escrig to move up to 11th, 4 seconds behind P10 Toledo!

With 2 laps to go, he was able to reduce it to just  3 secs from 10th . With a lap to go, another rider crashed and he moved up to P10 but Paz has already reduced the gap to Toledo to 2 secs, at the flag he was just 1.3 secs behind.

“Focused lang po ako sa paghabol, kinapos lang po ng laps sa huli pero maabutan ko na sya,” shared Paz after the race in a media zoom meeting organized by YMPH.

In the zoom meeting, everybody congratulated him for another top 10 finish, his second in only after 3 events so far. Yamaha also surprised  Kyle with a birthday greeting from his parents and girlfriend. Also, Yamaha’s Mr. Toni Boy Acuesta, Ms. Jennifer Perey and Ms. Roxanne Lariego presented Kyle his birthday gift, a brand new Yamaha Sniper 155! Something Kyle jokingly asked for as a bonus when he finished in P7 last time in Portugal. A very happy Kyle can’t wait to get home to ride his new Sniper!

Good luck again Kyle in your next races!
