The nation’s first batches of Coronavirus vaccines arrived at the Villamor Air Base in Pasay City on Sunday, February 28,2021. President Rodrigo Roa Duterte himself were present at the ocassion to oversee the arrival and to deliver a short statement.

The 600,000 doses of CoronaVac vaccines were then transfered by a convoy of trucks to the Metropac Logistics in Marikina City to ready it for distribution and rollout today, Monday, March 1, 2021.

Among the first to recieve vaccine shots were PGH (Philippine General Hospital) Director General Dr. Gerardo Legaspi, FDA Dir. Gen. Eric Domingo, MMDA Chair Benhur Abalos, vaccine czar Sec. Carlito Galvez and Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque.

PGH recieved about 1200 vaccines and will be inoculating about 60-80 hospital personnels. The vaccines will be first distributed to around 20 hospitals for our medical frontliners.

Meanwhile, The PNP (Philippine National Police) is getting ready for the first day of the national vaccination rollout at Camp Crame today Monday, (March 1, 2021). According to PNP Chief General Debold Siñas, some 800 PNP medical officers and healthcare frontliners will be among the first be inoculated with the vaccine.
