Homecoming of Kyle Paz and Carlo Paalam Celebrated by Yamaha

In a Zoom meeting held last September 16, the homecoming of Filipino pride McKinley Kyle Paz was celebrated by Yamaha Motor Philippines and the motorcycle media.

Paz came home for a break after his stints at the Moto2 class of the FIM CEV Repsol Championship. He has raced in Spain and Portugal. The “Wonder Boy” has shown flashes of potential and his best finish so far was P7 in Portimao. He will be back racing in Moto2 in November.

Special guest at the online meeting was Tokyo 2020 Boxing Silver medalist Carlo Paalam who was given a Yamaha YZF-R6 as reward.

Yamaha Motor Philippines, Inc. held the “Making History Never Ends – The Filipino Pride Homecoming” event online. It celebrates 2 Filipino icons that have brought pride to the Philippines. Yamaha’s own McKinley Kyle Paz who became the First Filipino to compete in the FIM CEV Moto2 European Championship returns to the Philippines for a quick respite before racing in the last round of his campaign. After spending months with the VR46 Master Camp Racing Team, Kyle showed significant development and kept up with the best young racers of the world who are all dreaming to be part of the MotoGP. By making history, he has brought pride to every Filipinos in each round he has raced in so far.

Also, part of this celebration is Olympic Silver Medalist, Carlo Paalam. The Boxer has overcome challenges to stand out on the world stage after the historic run of the Philippine contingent in the recently concluded Tokyo Olympics. After his achievement, plenty of his dreams have come true and that included owning his dream bike which is the YZF-R6.

Yamaha also made sure Carlo was given the knowledge of basic safety riding of a big bike. Because it is a leap from riding the Sniper155 to the Big Bike category. To unlock the full potential of the motorcycle, he received exclusive training from Coach Joey Storm at the Clark Speedway. He was also given a special helmet that signifies his official entry into the Motorsports world.

These 2 athletes who have achieved so much this year will undoubtedly showcase more of their talent for years to come. And with every competition it will only bring more pride for each Filipino.
