Honda Philippines Wins Manufacturer Award in IRGPXVII SSBK Grand Prix

SHARP Honda Philippines’ Alfonsi Daquigan showed domination in the Motul Super Sport Bike (SSBK) Grand Prix class of the Alpinestars IRGPXVII.
On his Honda CBR250RR race bike, Daquigan bested other riders right in the qualifying day and capitalized on his pole position come race day. Daquigan’s victory resulted to Honda Philippines taking the Manufacturer’s Award in the above said category. The Manufacturers’ Award in IRGPXVII is sponsored by MDAP (Motorcycle Dealers Association of the Philippines).

Honda Philippines has been winning Manufacturer Award in IRGP and in the 2023 IRGPXVI, they clinched two of the said awards.
Aside from his super IRGPXVII performance, Daquigan on his Honda bagged the overall championship title in the SSBK class of the 2024 MotoIR Championship series. It was a stellar season for the SHARP Honda Philippines rider with numerous wins. He was also a strong contender for the SSP (Super Sport) title wherein he finished second overall.

Honda Philippines 2024 racing season was good with good results in MotoIR and Super Series races. Their Honda Dream Cup was also a success and majority of the riders in their development program participated in IRGPXVII. The manufacturer is also present in the international racing scene with Daquigan and Jakob Sablaya racing in the Asia Road Racing Championship. Daquigan also had a remarkable stint in the Asia Talent Cup.
