JDM-Inspired Mio Amore from Batangas

This modified Mio Amore named “Patchi” is owned by Cardo Magsaysay, a government employee from Natunuan North, San Pascual, Batangas.

He started working on Patchi in 2019 and began with simple stand and parts. Eventually, he thought of doing a “lume build”, a style of lowering motorcycles in Batangas. Cardo then started upgrading his scoot with nice parts from Japan. The scoot sports a 4-valve 205cc engine and Nissin, Daytona, and JDMPW products as well as a Bozo pipe.

At first, Cardo had a difficult time with his project bike because it is lowered but as time goes by, he learned to enjoy his stance scoot. The project took him 4 months as the parts came from Japan. The memorable challenge he experienced while modifying his scoot was when the parts from Japan arrived and he don’t know how to put them in the motorcycle as there are a lot of things to modify and will be cut.

Cardo modified his scoot not just to boast or become popular but to be an inspiration to his fellow stance and JDM enthusiasts. He is very happy with his stance scoot. Patchi indeed brings so much joy to his owner. As of now, Cardo enjoys Patchi and what it has now and he’s not thinking of modifying it again so far.

To his fellow builders/modifiers and motorcycle enthusiasts, Cardo’s advice is to never give up on their dreams for their motorcycles. “For me, you can rest but never think about giving up,” Cardo said.

“Nagpapasalamat ako sa asawa ko na si Analyn Magsaysay aka “Señorita Bumbay”, sa aking builders  – Edsel Mandocdoc at Aldrin Lagaya, sa lahat lahat ng tao na sumuporta sakin at tumulong at sa kaibigan kong si Boss Mark Alvin Rubion na tumulong sa akin na ma-feature sa InsideRACING. Maraming-maraming salamat.” shared Cardo.
