KYMCO releases much-awaited scooters; Creates “Maxi Touring” segment

Exciting times await the local scooter fans as KYMCO Philippines recently held a media launch of 3 of their most awaited units.

The first one to be revealed to the motoring media present at the Blue Leaf in Mckinley Hill is KYMCO’s top of the line and premium maxi scooter the AK 550. Dubbed as the Super Touring Maxi Scooter – it is equipped with a 500cc engine with fuel injection, ABS, Noodoe technology, and more importantly churns out a maximum of 53 horsepower, a clear 10 hp more powerful than its direct commpetitor. It retails for 599,000 Php.

A scoot for the Generation Z. Stylish, sporty, low seat height and…fuel-injected. It has the body and structure of Super Z with the power of a newly designed advanced S8 150 Fi engine. This is the KYMCO Super Z 150i 8-Series.

Then there is the scooter that would probably create its own segment – the Xtown 300i ABS. Competitively priced (Introductory price) at only 199,000 php, this maxi scoot carries the huge size of a touring scooter while at the same time passing Euro4 standards. Only a few units will initially be brought here so make sure to reserve one.
