The first ever test ride in Asia for the new Scrambler Ducati was held from December 8 to 10 in Cha-Am, Thailand. Members of the Thailand media as well as other media representatives around Asia including the Philippines represented by Al Camba (TORQUE and InsideRACING), Malou Gabriel (Together WE RIDE) and Nikki Confiado (Vespa Community) were the first riders in the region to actually ride the new Scramber on the road. The event was based on the luxurious Hotel de la Paix located along he popular Cha-am beach. With a fusion of contemporary and Asian design, the hotel was a perfect venue for the Srambler event. The night before the ride, the media guests were first treated to a brief Product Presentation by the Scramber Ducati team led by Asia General Manager for Sales and Marketing Pierfrancesco Scalzo Scrambler Brand Manager Mario Alvisi and Asia Marketing Director David James. m The first Ducati Scrambler was produced in 1962 until 1975. The newest iteration is powered by Ducati`s proven air-cooled 803cc l-twin engine and the desgn team used “post heritage” styling which is to take the best from the past to create something unique and contemporary. The following day, the excited media riders spent the whole day riding around the Kaeng Krachan National Park. The Scrambler will come in four variants when it arrives in Manila late March to early April this year: the Icon, Classic, Full Throttle and Enduro. Read about more about the event soon in InsideRACING and TORQUE magazines.
