Marquez to race in Portugal

The eight-time World Champion has been given permission by doctors to race at the Portuguese Grand Prix in Portimao next weekend.

It will be 9 months since the Honda Repsol rider has been injured during the first race of the delayed 2020 MotoGP season. He tried to retirn immediately the following race but failed to complete it and compunded his injury which led to a lengthy treatment and recovery.

This is big news for the championship and will add further excitement to the already 2021 season. He will see race action forcthe first time since July last year at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve on April 18, Sunday.
