The famous nationwide motorcycle road race series dates back to 2016, when two of the longest running racing series in Luzon (IR Cup by InsideRacing), and Vis-Min (RUGP by The RacingLineTV) united to form a single nationwide championship sanctioned by the Unified Sports and Racing Association (USRA).
The purpose of the unification is to give local Filipino racers and teams a high profile touring series where they can get exposure and recognition on a nationwide scale. The Super Series has since organized races in different key areas of the Philippines like Manila, Davao, Antipolo, Cebu, Cavite, Bohol, Bulacan, Cagayan de Oro, and Bacolod. The series’ main focus is only on small underbones and scooters which comprises approximately 95% of the total motorcycle sales in the Philippines
After four seasons in 2019, like most forms of organized motorsports, the Super Series was a casualty of the pandemic and had to sit out a season. However, in late 2021, with the help of Motul, the Super Series was able to succesfully re-start in Luzon thru a compressed 3 event series.
For 2022 onwards, Motul Philippines and Infiniteserv International with support from Motul Singapore offices, have signed up again to be the title sponsor for five (5) years until the end of 2026.
The Motul Super Series Nationwide Championships will again expand to its nationwide 6 race status after a compressed 3-leg series in 2021. The Motul Super Series will once again stage separate Luzon and Vis-Min Divisionals Championships.
Super Series Race Chairmans Mr. Al Camba of InsideRacing and Mr. Jong Uy of The RacingLineTV, had a contract signing last week together with Motul Phillipines and Infiniteserv International President Mr.Charlie Ong and Infiniteserv Marketing Manager Mr. Peter Yung.
According to Mr. Charlie Ong, the multi-year sponsorship deal aims to strengthen the brand’s involvement in high-level motorsports , and celebrate Motul’s successful 2021 where its sales in the Philippines has enjoyed a tremendous growth..more than 100%!
“We have increased our ranking in Asia within Motul from number 19 to number 2 in 2021 ,” said Mr. Ong, “This is because of the work done by our excellent dealer network and our involvement with many local motorsports events like the Super Series. Motul is delighted and proud to be associated once again with the prestigious Motul Super Series Nationwide Championship and we look forward to a long and successful partnership.“
” We are very happy to continue our parternship with Motul and Infiniteserv from 2022 and beyond. Motul was one of those who helped us get the Super Series restarted last year and we are delighted that the partnership produced positive results from both sides, a win-win situation, ” said Mr. Al Camba
” The Vis-Min racing community is very happy that Super Series will return in 2022. We are also very glad that with this long term partnership with Motul and Infiniteserv, racing in our area fir the forseeable future is ensured, ” said Mr. Jong Uy.
