The philppine Statistics Authority(PSA) has launched the online registration for the Philippine I.D. System today, April 30, 2021.

National Economic and Development council (NEDA) Secretary Karl Chua said that the online system will be live today to collect and gather citizen’s information and demographic data. Applicants will also be needing to schedule a visit to assigned registration centers afterwards to enroll their Biometric Data and to open a bank account.

PhilSys, better known as the National Identification System or republic Act No. 110055, aims to establish a single national I.D. for all citizens and residents of the Philippines. It will also help in the distribution of financial support during the pandemic as well as fast-track the Vaccination Program of the Goverment.

Sadly, upon implementing it today, the National I.D. online registration is experiencing technical difficulties and crashes due to influx of applicants. Philipine Statistics Authority (PSA) technical team is currently on the move in figuring out the hiccups and will provide updates as soon as the website is up and running again.
