NCY-Suntal-JDO’s Corpuz sweeps scooter SP at Denoo GP National

Team NCY-Suntal-JDO and its rider Edcel Corpuz, were once again a force to reckon with in the scooter categories in 2022. Recently, he bagged another double win in the Deeno GP,  MotoIR’s third round last July 24 in Tarlac.

The Denoo GP was the 3rd round of the 2022 MotoIR Championships, a Philippine National road race event sanctioned by NAMSSA, the FIM National Federation in partnership with Club affiliate USRA. It is presented by Denoo Motorcycle pils in partnership with Motul, KTM ,Pirelli, Zeneos, Beast, FDR, Extreme One, and Quick.

After dominating qualifying , Corpuz won both the MotoIR AT and MotoIR Maxi  SP classes, it was another solid performance for Edcel and solid support from NCY-Suntal-JDO racing team headed by Mr. Jonathan Oteyza!

NCY was established in 1997 as Chian-Yie Industrial Co. Ltd. (NCY) and was originally a workshop in Taiwan for fixing and modifying scooters. Now, it is one of the biggest taiwan-based aftermarket and performance scooter parts brand in the motorcycle and scooter world. Being based in Taiwan, the scooter capital of the world, no doubt has contributed to the success of NCY. But what generally defines NCY is the quality and workmanship of their products. It is distributed locally by Suntal Philiippines.

Recently the Team also revealed their newest helmet sponsor , REAL helmets , also distributed by real helemts. The team are excited to race debut the helmet in the next race.

Corpuz now leads the MotoIR AT SP class after 3 legs and is second in he MotoIR Maxi standings despite missing the first round.

Corpuz is also the highest ranked Novice rider in IR’s Nationwide Rider Rankings as of August.

Corpuz is one of the rising stars in the FIM NAMSSA USRA National races. Only less than a year old afyer the team made its debut in IRGPXIV, they hope. to expand their racing activites in the future by racing at club levels and probably joinibh Nationals outside Luzon, like Cebu and Davao, in 2023 and beyond to reach out to NCY custumers and dealers outside Luzon.

The fourth round of the 2022 championships will be the Philippine Lifestyle and Perfomance EXPO GP on August 21 at.the Tarlac Circuit Hill.

The Philippine Lifestyle and Perfomance EXPO will happen at the World Trade Center on October 28-29 and will be one of the bighest event that will.feature not only motorcycles but also automotive, cycling, marine, e-mobility and more. It will also be the hist event and venue of the 2022 MotoIR Championships Awards Night.
