Paz and Suba victorious at IR – Honda Fun Cups

20140713_150812-300x225The IR Honda Fun Cups resumed competition last Sunday July 13 at the Carmona Racing Circuit. Sanctioned by the Underbone and Scooter Racing Association (USRA), the IR-Honda Beat and IR- Honda Wave Fun Cups attracted a record total combined 50 entries solely from Beginner and Novice riders only. Honda Philippines, Inc (HPI) offered free use of Honda Beat and Honda Wave Dash race bikes to registered riders while the organizer IR Cup Series provided free entry fee. This is to encourage more riders to try the racetracks. HPI’s Mr. Lloyd Garces was very pleased with the turnout. The IR-Honda Fun Cups are part of Honda’s ladder system that trains new and young riders. Most of the participants came from the regular monthly Honda-MTRT Clinics that HPI also supports.

In the IR- Honda Beat Fun Cup race was won by John Paul Suba followed by two Maico Buncio Foundation (MBF) riders  Van Ruedas in second and  EJ Sobretodo  in third. Meanwhile, another Meanwhile another MBF rider took the IR – Honda Wave Dash Fun Cup as McKinley Kyle Paz finished ahead of  Spec V-FDR’s Aldeine Valencia and privateer Carlo Calderon.
