Paz Shows Skills in Super Sport While Bergania Clinches First IRGP Win

The “Wonderboy” McKinley Kyle Paz scored another title in just his first race in IRGPXVIII. Young Rand Bergania successfully bagged his maiden victory in IRGP after a solid performance in the Motul Super Sport Grand Prix race.


April King Mascardo of Yamaha Philippines was in pole position of the race but Paz eventually took the lead and cruised his way to the chekered flag. It was a show of dominance for Yamaha in the 14-lap race as Mascardo finished second and third placer was another racer of the team, EJ Sobretodo. Not able to finish in the GP class for intermediate and expert riders was JCP RCB Racing Team’s Lucky Pilapil.



In the SP class battled by novice and beginner racers, KC99 BOM Rangsit X got an IRGP title courtesy of Rand Bergania who rode seamlessly all throughout the race. Taking the second place was JM Malonzo of Dad’s Garage 4S1M Ravenol Yamaha while Vash Aguilar of Vhenworkz GAD K3 DRS Racing finished third. Fourth placer was Honda Project M Racing Team’s Franz Juric dela Cruz and crossing the finish line in fifth place wads Mathew de Jesus of E2R / KC99. Jerrber Ferrer of JCP RCB Racing DRS placed sixth followed by Team X1R J2Cab’s Kurt Gaylo who came all the way from Bacolod. GAD K3 WRD racer Danmar Geronimo was eighth to cross the finish line in the SP class. Dhaiken Showa Necesito of Race Ready Motorshop, Tommy Tapel of GPR Lubricant Racing Team, Myron Al delos Santos of Cardinals 87 Motorsports Yamaha and Albert Joaquin Geronimo of GAD K3 WRD were not able to finish the race.


Yamaha Motor Philippines won the Manufacturers’ Award while Mascardo was awarded by KYT Helmet for taking the pole position. James Carlo Medina, the mechanic of Paz, and team Yamaha Philippines were also recognized. Danmar Geronimo was the Fastest Beginner of the race.

Paz once again showed versatility and dominance and proved he can ride anything and be victorious. Bergania continued his winning ways in IRGP after a superb regular racing season for him and his team.
