Petronas Sprinta Racing Team Set to Conquer Pirelli Cup

Among the satellite times presented at Ducati Manila last April 28 was Petronas Sprinta Racing Team. The team is fielding in a two-rider line-up who will race the Ducatis in their maiden campaign in the Pirelli Cup.

Introduced by Petronas Spinta Racing Team Manager Yanuar Maulana from Indonesia were Meister Homer Sabang and Daniel delos Reyes. The two have competed in the Pirelli Cup last year and this time will aim for podiums and victories representing Petronas Sprinta. Sabang is the team’s gunner in the Pirelli Cup Heavyweight class and will ride the Panigale V4 while delos Reyes is joining the fray in the Middleweight B category on board the Panigale V2. Both Ducati bikes were from Access Plus / Ducati Philippines. The 6-round 2025 Pirelli Cup will kick off this May.

Aside from presenting their riders for 2025, Petronas Sprinta also expressed their goal to continue racing for years to come and their ultimate objective is to bring Filipino riders to Malaysia. Team Manager Yanuar Maulana also announced Rafael Soriano, another racer of the team set to compete in the Pirelli Cup’s Heavyweight class in 2026. Soriano is the 2021 Pirelli Cup Junior Rookie champion and the first runner-up in the 2022 IRGPXIV MotoIR1 Trophy class.

Petronas Sprinta was one of the exhibitors at the 17th InsideRACING Bike Festival and Trade Show held last March at the World Trade Center, where the brand showcased their products to the thousands of attendees at the three-day biggest moto event of 2025.
