Purino Fastest in Denoo Underbone Trophy Qualifying

Joseph Dominique Purino representing SEC-Yamaha-Phoenix got the pole position in the Underbone Trophy class of the IRGPXIV. The said category is sponsored by Denoo Motor Oil and features Novice and Beginner racers.

Qualifying best time was 47.463s registered by Purino last March 12 in the second time trial session. Second at the starting grid is JVT rider Dale Malihan who clocked in 47.477s. The two were the riders who registered 47s lap times in their class. MTRT-RacePro’s Timothy Rojas qualified third followed by DK Racing-UMA-RCB rider Christian Anderson, Andrei Reyes of SEC-Yamaha-Phoenix, Anderson’s teammate Leeandro Paredes, RND-4S1M-Yamaha’s Rain del Mundo, Travis Baroja of SEC Motosupply, TSMP-Beast racer Reymart Lining and Lourdan Ian Guieb of Extreme One-JCP-RCB-Yamaha. Starting at 11th place is Team MotoTan’s Carl James Hung followed by Lucky Pilapil of Extreme One-JCP-RCB-Yamaha, NCY-Suntal-JDO rider Edcel Corpuz and Extreme One-JCP-RCB-Yamaha’s King Nazarene Pilapil. The only lady rider in the Underbone Trophy class, Erika Ondillo of SMOK-SEC Motosupply qualified at 15th place while Kevin Ramirez of MotoFI will start at 16th place followed by Julius Reyes of Club-i-Finamics Tuning.



Purino already champed in the IRGP MotoIR3 class in 2019. The young rider from Batangas also had titles in the MotoIR Championship and numerous wins in different races. Now part of SEC-Yamaha-Phoenix, his formidable riding skills will add more feats to the strong racing team.

The finale of the 14th Alpinestars InsideRACING Grand Prix (IRGPXIV) will take place at the Tarlac Circuit Hill on April 9 (Free Practice) and 10 (Race Day). Aside from the races, the event will also have an IRGP Expo wherein various brands will showcase products for motorcycles and riders.

The IRGP is the premier race event of the USRA (Unified Sports and Racing Association for Motorcycles, Inc.).
