Salandanan Earns Suzuki Skydrive Sport Cup Title

Suzuki Philippines’ latest fashionable scooter, the Skydrive Sport, had a successful one-make race class at the 2019 Super Series Nationwide Championships.

The Skydrive Sport Cup featured Beginner and Novice riders. The category proved that Suzuki scooter, aside from being economical and stylish, also performs well in racing. Suzuki Philippines provided Skydrive Sport scooters used in the series.

Eleven riders participated in the final Skydrive Sport Cup final round held in Silang, Cavite. Suzuki-VMan racer Rmand Salandanan was seamless as he dominated the qualifying and race of the said class. Salandanan on pole position went on to lead the 12-lap race from start to finish. He also registered the best lap time of the race. His teammate Nikko Nambatac from Davao finished second while Troy Patcho placed third. Fourth placer was Erth Dale Nuñeza followed by Kenneth Coronel. The only female rider in the race, Yna Marie Enriquez who came all the way from Davao, finished sixth.

Timothy Jonathan Rojas crossed the finish line seventh followed by Joseph Magalit and John Jake San Pedro. Rexie Sayno and Angelo Mangabat placed tenth and eleventh, respectively.

Rmand Salandanan had a remarkable race season and his victory in the Skydrive Sport Cup is the product of his consistency and improving skills. The support of his team Suzuki-VMan also played a major role in his success. Salandanan also won the Skydrive Sport Cup races in the second round in Antipolo and the third round in Davao. He was a consistent podium finisher which made him the overall champion for the Skydrive Sport Cup this 2019.
