Amber Torres’ meteoric improvement was evident during last weekend’s Shell Advance IR Cup Rd. 2 130cc Automatic race as he repeated as champion in the class. The wet pavement did not deter the young, rising star as he only needed half a lap to separate himself from any possible challenge that could come. What’s even more impressive is that this is only a 4-lap race due to the wet conditions during the day, and in that short span of time he was able to come up with a 10-second lead by the 4th lap. Amber finished the race in 3:56.468s while Evander Soliveres came in 2nd. Justinne Tolentino completed the podium with her 3rd place finish with her 4:07.697s.

With his 2nd straight win, Amber is on pace to be the season champ.

The next leg of the Shell Advance IR Cup Series will be on October 9 at the Clark International Speedway.
