Sobretodo & Watanabe chase Daquigan for the Motul All Star MotoIR3 MiniGP crown

Twelve year old phenom Alfonsi Daquigan of Sharp AQUOS TV has won the last four races in the hyper exciting inaugural Motul MotoIR3 MiniGP All Star championships.

After six races in 2021 of the ten-round championship, The Daijiro Cup pocketbike veteran Daquigan has a now built up a 17 point lead over double all star race winner and Super Series star Eane Jaye Sobretodo of VMAN Teves Cares before Subday’s double header.

They are followed closely behind by multi-time PSBK Champion Dashi Watanabe of WRD Angels’ Burger another 10 pts behind. Although Watanabe won the inaugural invitational all star race in July, he has yet to win in the regular series.

The three star riders are now battling to become the first MotoIR3 MiniGP champion. With still 4 races left to run and 100 points still up for grab this Sunday November 7 and November 21, any of the three can win the crown.

Johnlery Enriquez

Speedtuner-Triumph JT’s Johnlery Enriquez lies fourth in the championship and still has a mathematical chance to catch up with the three if any of them fails to score points due to mechanical problems or a crash.

Fritssy Claveria

Currently in fifth is Fritssy Claveria of Team 137 SEC Motosupply. The MotoIR and Pirelli Cup Star missed 2 races and has suffered from 2 race crashes already. He was only able to get his own bike 2 races ago, afterwich he eventually finished on the podium for the first time. Claveria is now after mire podiums and  possible race wins, but more importantly to gain experience racing against much more seasoned riders.

TJ Alberto

PSBK point leader TJ Alberto of Access Plus Racing lies sixth after a pair of fourth places last October in Clark. Although he won in the inaugural All Star race last July, like Watanabe, he has yet to score a win akso in the regular season. The race in October was his only participation so far, as he and his team are now devoting their time and energy preparing for his first PSBK championship.

Paul Mark Doblada

IRGP and MotoIR star Paul Mark Doblada of Race Pro SMOK  is also sixth in the points but has scored a podium in his first race weekend. He hopes to gain more MiniGP experience in preparation for the IRGP MiniGP race.

Marvin Mangulabnan

Multi-time PSBK Champion and MotoIR pioneer Marvin Mangulabnan of Motul MM189 enjoyed his first MiniGP races last weekend. This despite an unavoidable crash when Claveria high sided in front if him. Still, the PSBK star is hapoy for his retirn to racing in Carmona after 8 years.

Other stars who did one race weekends are Gian Carlo Mauricio of Team Dex81 KRB Speedway, Ralph Kenneth Torres of Team Motul and April King Mascardo of Phoenix SEC.

Casey Edward Clamor

Meanwhile,  rider Casey Edward Clamor of Club MR WRD is looking goid to extend his lead in the SP class.
