Suzuki Returns to the racetrack at IR Cup Series

20140713_1550311-300x225Suzuki Philippines (SPH)  officially returned to racetrack competition last Sunday July 13 at the Carmona Racing Circuit. Sanctioned by the Underbone and Scooter Racing Association (USRA), the IR-Suzuki RaiderJ 115FI and IR- Suzuki NEX 115 Fun Cups attracted a record total combined 76 entries from all rider grades.  According to Suzuki’s Ms. Zhele Acorda, it was the most number of entries so far received in a single event for Suzuki.  SPH offered free use of Suzuki raider J115 Fi and Suzuki NEX 115 race bikes to registered riders while the organizer IR Cup Series provided free entry fee. This is to encourage more riders to try the racetracks.

The winner of the Raider J 115 Fi Fun was Vrei-ar Suba of NHK-Racewell  followed  by  Mokoy Ancheta  of JVT and  Juver Mirasol of Team JM Mirasol. Meanwhile, in the Suzuki Nex 115 Fun Cup, the winner was EJ Sobretodo of MBF followed by Masato Fernando of Spec V-FDR who got a jumpstart penalty and  John Paul Suba  of NHK-Racewell in third. The second round of the IR-Suzuki Fun Cups will continue on Aug 17 at Carmona for the 3rd IR Cup Series race.  The Suzuki Fun Cups are also supported by Motoworld LS2- Vee Rubber and YRS.
