Honda launched the U-GO in China under Wuyang-Honda. It is another low-cost Chinese electric scooters designed purely for urban riding. It will have  two versions of the U-GO with different speeds and power levels.

The standard model sports a 1.2 kW continuous-rated hub motor with a peak power output of 1.8 kW. That motor helps the U-GO reach a top speed of 53 km/h .

The lower speed model offers a weaker 800 W continuous hub motor with a peak 1.2 kW rating and a lower top speed of 43 km/h .

Both models offer a 48V and 30Ah removable lithium-ion battery with 1.44 kWh of capacity. A double-capacity battery can be swapped in as an upgrade.

The U-GO a simple design with simple features. It features 12-inch front and 10-inch rear alloy wheels.

More importantly, with a starting price in China of approximately only Php58,000 (US $1,150), the U-GO is way more affordable than higher-end smart scooters that costs double the price.

The LCD display that gives the user information like speed, distance, charge and riding mode of the scooter is more basic than found on higher priced electric scooters. It has  LED headlight with triple beams on the front apron and also consist of an LED DRL strip that encircles the main cluster. Also, it does not look cheap and include a 26 liter of under-seat storage.

Unfortunately, Honda has only announced the U-GO for its Chinese market only.
