Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. has remodeled the TRACER9 GT+, a sports touring model with high sportability and practical functions, and is exhibiting it as a model for the 2025 European market at the EICMA 2024 International Motorcycle Exhibition held in Milan from November 5.
In the current model, the “millimeter-wave radar” at the front of the vehicle body detects the presence or absence of a vehicle in front and the distance between the vehicles, and the function “ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control)” is adopted to follow the vehicle in front. It is equipped with a function “BSD (Blind Spot Detection)” that detects vehicles approaching from behind and displays them in the mirror. In addition, the Y-AMT (Yamaha Automated Transmission) automatic transmission that does not require the operation of the clutch lever or shift pedal is newly installed, and the combination with ACC greatly reduces the operating burden. It makes driving as a sports tourer more comfortable.
In addition, the “Matrix LED Headlights”*¹ are equipped with cameras for detecting the preceding vehicle and oncoming vehicles and automatically control the lighting, turning off, and irradiation range according to the surrounding conditions, the “VHC (Vehicle Hold Control)”*² function that assists braking operations when stopping or starting on a slope, and when the main key is turned on. Electronically controlled suspension with new controls such as reducing the damping force for 30 seconds to assist in vehicle maneuvering, YVSL (Yamaha Variable Speed Limiter) variable speed limiter that allows the maximum speed to be set arbitrarily, electric screen, smart key, TPMS(R) (Tire Pressure Monitoring) System: Tire Pressure Monitoring System)*³” and a storage compartment with a built-in USB (Type A) port, etc., have been enhanced with a full range of functions and equipment, and comfort and convenience have also been updated.
In Japan, it is scheduled to be released in the summer of 2025 or later.
