Despite the gloomy weather on September 25, InsideRACING was able to hold two legs of the Eastern Club Races. The continuation of the postponed June 19 Round 4 and the fifth round were successfully done on the same day thanks to the cooperation of the beginner and novice riders who raced at the Cainta IR Speedrome and the support of event sponsor Quick Tires.
The USRA-sanctioned races were finished before noon and awarding was held early in the afternoon so the rides and race fans can go home early before the surge of typhoon Karding.
Round 4 winners were Yuri Olayvar (Scooter Open Beginner Group A), Jezreel Martin Inguito (Scooter Beginner Group B), Jefferson Gonzales (Pocketbike Adult), John Jomel Pedraja (Scooter 115 Sealed and Team Attitude Club Race), Charles Dwayne Ramirez (Pocketbike Kids), John Michael Estillero (Scooter Open Novice and Arkinians 2 Fast Club Race), Xykeith Brix Gesite (Stand-up Scooter), John Paul Domingo (Underbone Open Beginner) and Marco Gil Ventinilla (Underbone Open Novice). Only two classes were able to race last June 19 and the rest were rescheduled because of the rainy weather. For the list of winners of round 4, click here.
Victors in the fifth round were Venz Sarmiento (Scooter Open Beginner), Jefferson Gonzales (Pocketbike Adult), John Jomel Pedraja (Scooter Sealed 115), Rain del Mundo (Scooter Open Novice and Underbone Open Novice), Prince Jacob Rom (Pocketbike Kids), James Louis Landrito (Stand-Up Scooter) and John Paul Domingo (Underbone Open Beginner). It was great to see beginner and novice riders racing and improving their riding skills. Round 5 also saw a good number of pocketbike kid participants and their supportive families and mentors. The future is exciting indeed for the local racing scene. For the list of winners of round 5, click here.
The final round of the 2022 IR Eastern Club Races will take place on October 9 at the Cainta IR Speedrome located at Bazaar City. The venue is indeed good for the grassroots racing series of IR. The IR Eastern Club Races aims to develop and hone skills of beginner and novice racers, the future racing stars of the country.
