Our friends and longtime partner, the Mindanao Motorcycle Riders Alliance (MMRA), is preparing to set a Guinness World Record next week November 17 for the “Largest Gathering of People Wearing Helmets”.

During the recent 3rd InsideRACING Mindanao Bikefest

The worthwhile undertaking is supported by SPYDER Helmets and the MDPPA. The attempt will be  done together with the Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims and the 4th Mindanao Tribute Ride.

The event will be held at the Pantukan oval grounds in Comval. Riders who wish to participate need not pay any registration fee. Your helmet is your entry.

Mr. Ian Tiotingco of the MMRA is the head organizer. ” Nakita ko ang positive response ng motorcycle community dito sa Mindanao. Mahirap mag organisa lalo na wala pondo pero sa tulong din ng mga kakilala malaking bagay para ma-promote at maging success ang event. Salamat sir, ” he said.

” Malaking bagay po ito para makakuha kami ng public attention to raise awareness. Also to summon the LGU mismo sa lugar in order to implement the traffic laws. Walang umiiral na batas doon mismo sa dadausan ng event, walang suot na helmet, may angkas na mga bata wearing slippers, no plates, no side mirrors, all violations makikita mo. Hope we can bring change, ” he added.
