The Yamaha Grand Prix officially returned to the Philippine racing calendar as Leg 1 of the revived series concluded at Tarlac Circuit Hill, marking the comeback of one of the country’s most important grassroots motorsports platforms.

After years away, the Yamaha Grand Prix wasted no time reasserting its identity, delivering a full weekend of intense, multi-category racing that brought together young prospects, club racers, and seasoned competitors under a single competitive banner.

From one-make battles to underbone racing and junior development categories, Leg 1 set a clear tone: the Yamaha Grand Prix is back as a complete racing ecosystem, not just a standalone event.

BLU CRU Junior Cup: Young Riders Rise Under Pressure

At the heart of the weekend was the R15M BLU CRU Junior Cup, where the next generation of Filipino road racers faced the demands of real competition across two races.

In Race 1, Knox Pantaleon claimed victory with a controlled and consistent ride, followed by Ronald King Mangosong in second and Albert Geronimo in third.

The intensity continued in Race 2, where Rand Erwin Bergania emerged on top after a strong performance, with Ronald King Mangosong once again securing second place. Knox Pantaleon completed the podium in third, highlighting early consistency across the opening leg.

Beyond the podiums, the Blu Cru Junior Cup field Ezra Samson, Danmar Allan Geronimo, Ace Dansharl Esguerra, Albert Joaquin Geronimo, Riyhana Villacorta, and Anderson Leslie Debnam all gaining valuable race experience in a professional one-make environment.

Club Racing and One-Make Battles Deliver Close Competition

The Sniper YClub Race produced tightly fought contests across both races. Race 1 was won by Cristian Mirasol, followed by Mark Philip Mendizabal in second and Kevin Foronda in third. In Race 2, Mark Philip Mendizabal returned to the top step of the podium, with Cristian Mirasol finishing second and Kevin Foronda once again completing the top three.

In the Aerox YClub Race, Anrich Gavin Farin dominated both outings, taking victory in Race 1 ahead of Rod Van Cervantes and Joshua Atayde, before repeating the win in Race 2, followed by Rod Ivan Cervantes in second and John Albert Halili in third.

The Sniper 155 One-Make Race showcased the importance of equal machinery, with Rand Erwin Bergania racing in two categories securing the win, JM Malonzo finishing second, and Shan Espedilla rounding out the podium.

In the Aerox SP One-Make Race, Renzzy Vigo emerged victorious, followed by JM Malonzo in second and Jasper Castro in thirdunderscoring the competitiveness of Yamaha’s one-make racing format.

Underbone Limited GP Caps Off a Full Racing Weekend

The weekend concluded with the Yamaha Grand Prix Underbone Limited GP, where Timothy Rojas claimed victory after a composed ride. Nedy Duran finished second, while Renzzy Vigo added another podium finish to his weekend with third place.
