Yamaha Philippines Racing Team Dominates National Tourneys

01 Yprt Motoir The team shifted their focus to the national tournaments here in the Philippines after falling short in round 4of the ARRC at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, Indonesia last July 26-28.

08 Yprt Motoir Despite a quick turnaround, the limited time didn’t seem to hinder McKinley Kyle Paz and Gian Carlo Mauricio when they competed in the Motul MotoIR Championship Round 4. They achieved victories in both the 300V Sprint Race Super Open UB GP and Motul Super Open UB GP. In the sprint, Paz started 3rdon the grid but still overcame other riders and finished in 1st place. Mauricio, started further down at the 7th spot and still managed a podium finish at 3rd. In the Super Open, they dominated the field with Paz claiming first place and followed swiftly by Mauricio.

13 Yprt Rugp The following week they joined the RUGP, a race that was initially not part of their racing schedule. This competition was usually won by other manufacturers until Yamaha Philippines decided to participate. But Paz and Mauricio showed why they are on a different level as they ruled the Diablo Cup UB155 LTD GP and UB155 OPEN SP.

14 Yprt Arrc Sched These string of competitions on home soil should help prepare the riders for round 5 of the ARRC in Malaysia at the Sepang International Circuit on September 13-15.
