Yamaha SEC Racing Team delivered a commanding performance at MOTOIR Round 3, demonstrating the depth of its racing program through victories, podium finishes, and competitive performances across multiple categories.

More than a successful race weekend, Round 3 showcased the strength of Yamaha’s rider development system, with veteran racers, emerging talents, and BLU CRU riders all contributing to the team’s success. From experienced front-runners to the next generation of racers, Yamaha once again proved its ability to compete at every level of competition.
YAMAHA CONTROLS THE OPEN GP FIELD
The defining moment of the weekend came in the Super Underbone Open GP category, where Yamaha riders established themselves as the benchmark throughout the competition.
Leading the charge was McKinley Kyle Paz, who secured victories in both the Open GP Sprint Race and the Super Underbone Open GP Expert category. Consistently among the fastest riders throughout the weekend, Paz converted strong qualifying performances into race wins and continued to reinforce his position as one of the country’s premier racers.

Backing him up was April King Mascardo, who secured runner-up finishes in both Open GP races, while Timothy Rojas completed an all-Yamaha Expert podium with a third-place finish in the main Open GP race.

Behind them, JM Malonzo claimed victory in the Intermediate division, completing a remarkable Yamaha shutout of the category. With Yamaha riders occupying the top positions across both Expert and Intermediate classifications, the weekend highlighted the team’s ability to field competitive riders throughout its roster.

MASCARDO CONTINUES STRONG 2026 CAMPAIGN
Among the team’s standout performers was April King Mascardo, who continued his impressive form with a victory in the Super Underbone LTD GP category.

Adding to his pair of runner-up finishes in Open GP competition, Mascardo’s race win further demonstrated his consistency and ability to deliver results across multiple classes. His performances throughout the weekend ensured Yamaha remained firmly at the front of the field and added another victory to the team’s growing collection this season.

ROJAS RETURNS TO THE PODIUM
Round 3 also marked an important milestone for Timothy Rojas, who returned to competition after missing Round 2 while recovering from injuries sustained earlier in the season.
After months of rehabilitation and preparation, Rojas quickly re-established himself among the front-runners, earning a podium finish in the Super Underbone Open GP Expert category. His return not only strengthened Yamaha’s lineup but also demonstrated the determination and resilience that have defined his racing journey.
BLU CRU RIDERS SHINE IN SUPERSPORT 200 DEBUT
The weekend also marked Yamaha’s first participation in the Supersport 200 category this season, providing an opportunity for the brand’s rider development program to take center stage.
BLU CRU riders Moses “Moy” Reyes and Zain Doblada immediately rewarded that confidence with a double podium finish, securing second and third place respectively.

Their performance serves as another example of Yamaha’s commitment to developing future racers through structured training and competition. As products of the BLU CRU program, both riders demonstrated that Yamaha’s investment in young talent continues to produce competitors capable of performing on race day.
TOLENTINO DELIVERS ANOTHER PODIUM PERFORMANCE
In the Superbike Women’s Championship, Justinne Bethany Tolentino continued to represent Yamaha at the front of the field, securing another podium finish after battling among the category’s strongest competitors throughout the weekend.

Her result added to Yamaha’s growing list of podiums and further highlighted the team’s competitiveness across every division of the championship.
STRENGTH ACROSS EVERY LEVEL
While race victories often capture the spotlight, MOTOIR Round 3 demonstrated something even more important for Yamaha Motor Philippines: the strength of an entire racing ecosystem.
From national champions and international competitors to returning riders and developing talents, Yamaha’s success was driven by a complete program built on performance, preparation, and continuous rider development.

As the season progresses, the Yamaha Philippines Racing Team remains focused on building momentum and delivering results, proving that success is not defined by a single rider or category, but by a commitment to excellence across the entire grid.
