After 3 races, Yamaha riders occupy the top 3 positions in the 2020 MotoGP Rider World Championship standings.

Petronas Yamaha SRT’s Fabio Quartararo leads the title chase with 59 points despite not finishing on the podium in Brno due to tire problems.

Second is Monster Yamaha’s Maverick Viñales with 42 points followed in third by Quartararo’s team mate Franco Morbidelli who led for more than half the race and achieved his first ever MotoGP podium last Sunday with 31 points. He is tied in points with Ducati’s Andrea Dovisiozo listed as fourth.

Meanwhile, Monster Yamaha’s Valentino Rossi lies in 7th with 27 points.

Yamaha leads the Constructor’s championship with 70 points over a KTM with 44 points, no doubt boosted by the Austrian manufacturer’s first premier class win last Sunday.

In the Team’s Championship, it is the satellite team Petronas Yamaha SRT with 90 points who leads from the factory Monster Yamaha Team with 69 pts. Third is Red Bull KTM Factory Racing.
