Ducati Concludes One of the Largest DRE Racetrack Academy in Asia

Ducati Asia Pacific played host to one of the biggest Global DRE Racetrack Academy Event in Thailand, which was a one of its kind event in the region. The riding experience was spread over two days on 9th and 10th of November and took place at the Chang International Circuit, in Buriram.

To explore the potential of the all new MY 22 Panigale V4 and Streetfighter V4 and the thrill of this MotoGP racetrack, Ducati in collaboration with Pirelli, provided riders a Panigale V4 or a Streetfighter V4 based on their chosen riding level, along with fuel, food and beverage, and world class hospitality.

On top of that, riders got an opportunity to master racetrack techniques with focused theoretical and practical riding sessions from world class DRE instructors and Legendary racers.

 

The day was divided into four different riding slots, based on the respective riding course chosen by the rider as per his/her skill set and performance. From the Track Intro to induct beginners, to Track Warm Up, Track EVO and Track Master, all the courses were designed to improve riding techniques and speed on the racetrack.

Instructors These courses were coordinated by Ducati instructors like Dario Marchetti -Technical Director and Global DRE manager, Carlos Serrano – Carlos Serrano – Technical Director DRE manager Asia and more DRE certified Instructors from across Asia Pacific and the world.

Also in attendance were special instructors with legendary racing pedigree – WSBK Legend Troy Bayliss, Former MotoGP Ducati Pilot and Moto 2 Race Winner Karel Abraham, Former MotoGP Ducati Pilot and Ducati MotoE Tester Alessandro Valia – Official Ducati Test Rider, Alex De Angelis and Local Thai Hero Thitipong Warokorn also joined in for this two-day mega event, directly training Ducati clients and prospects.

Courses  

Track Intro – A perfect introductory course for riders that want to get hands-on experience of riding on the racetrack for the first time.

Track Warm up – This course was designed to be an ideal training course for a rookie or beginners who have minimal riding experience on the racetrack but who want to build their riding skills gradually.

Track Evo – An exhilarating course for intermediate level riders – ones who have just the right experience of riding on a racetrack. Track Evo was designed to help riders refine their skills and experience the sensation of riding on a racetrack

Track Master – Last but not the least by any margin, this exclusive course was designed for riders who live and breathe racing. A perfect session for top riders who want to elevate their riding potential on the racetrack by learning from riders who have raced in championships all across the world.

Baylisstic Four | VIP Session and Photoshoot with Troy Bayliss – This session gave riders one of the most exquisite opportunities in the world – to ride and learn the riding techniques from WSBK Legend Troy Bayliss, side by side on a Ducati superbike. Only 4 people got the chance to participate in this session with Troy – a true hero and the only rider ever to win a WorldSBK and a MotoGP race in the same season, in the history of the sport.

Extra track activities included a two-seater experience with Dario Marchetti where the revered DRE instructor took riders as pillion, for a few hot laps around the circuit. Also on display was a Stunt show by Emilio Zamora- Official Rider of the Ducati Stunt Team who had previously enthralled people with his skills in marquee events like Cairo Bike Show, The Bahrain DRT and World Ducati Week.
