Carmona will again host the biggest stars and teams in PH racing!

Watanabe, Mangulabnan, Fernando, Doblada, Enriquez, Sobretodo, Mauricio, Mascardo, Claveria, Suba, Daquigan, Centeno, Anderson, Espiritu, Onahon and many more.

Tomorrow, October 31 will be another historic moment for the Carmona Race Track (CRT) as it hosts the 2021 Carmona GP, the 2nd round of the MOTUL Super Series Nationwide Championships sanctioned by USRA.

It will be the first championship race to be held at the oldest operating race track in the country since 2019. It will also witness the return of many stars in Philippine road racing, as well as the brightest and the fastest new stars.

Dashi Watanabe

Among them is legendary Dashi Watanabe of WRD Angel’s Burger, a multi-time PSBK Champion, IRGP Champion and ARRC racer. He last raced at CRT almost 8 years ago in IRGP. This Sunday he will be participating in the Motul MotoIR3 All Star MiniGP race.

Marvin Mangulabnan

Likewise, defending PSBK Champion and MotoIR legend Marvin Mangulabnan of Team Motul MM189, will be racing for the first time in CRT since his MotoIR days way back in 2014. He will make his All Star debut.

Paul Mark Doblada

Another superstar making his All Star race debut is Paul Mark Doblada of Team Race Pro MTRT. He is a multi MotoIR Champion, an IRGP Legend and the TSR race director. It will be his first time racing the MotoIR3 MiniGP spec bike.

“The Chairman” Masato Fernando

Meanwhile, the iconic Masato ” The Chairman” Fernando will make his local racing comeback since 2018. After his glorious ARRC campaign in 2017 and 2018,  Fernando is back to domestic racing with his new team ZENEOS Racing Team. He will race in the VS1 Mototek Super Underbone (SUB) Open GP .

John Lery Enriquez

Another star name in racing for more than a decade is John Lery Enriquez of Team Triumph JT Speedtuner. He will race for the first time in CRT in the All Stars since his Team Suzuki IRGP days.

Eane Jaye Sobretodo

Meanwhile, two young stars are set to mix it up with them for the first time in Carmona led by All Star points leader Eane Jaye Sobretodo of VMAN Teves Cares team.  He is also the points leader in the VS1 Mototek SUB Sealed GP with Suzuki KiXX VMan Team on a Raider.

Alfonsi Daquigan

Sobretodo  is followed closely in points by another breakout rider of 2021, the very young Alfonsi Daquigan of SHARP Aquos TV Team. The 12-year old Daquigan won both races at the Luzon GP held in Pampanga and becoming the youngest GP class winner ever. He has only raced in the All Star in the Philippines after years competing only in Japan.

Fritsy Claveria

MotoIR and Pirelli Cup star Fritsy Claveria from Tarlac will rejoin the All Star series on a brand new bike courtesy of his major sponsor SEC Motosupply. He was able to join the first round of the series last Luzon GP and he hopes to get an upset victory over the legends.

April King Mascardo

April King Mascardo of Team Phoenix Yamaha SEC  has dominated the VS1 Mototek SUB Open GP class. The star from Davao will be challenged not only by Masato but also by  team mate Vrei Suba, 4S1M’s Gian Carlo Mauricio, ZENEOS Racing Team’s RR Espiritu, TSMP’s Niel Jan Centeno of Batangas, and Drexlokoworx’ Clifford Baccus.

4S1M’s Gian Carlo Mauricio dominated the Repsol Super Scooter GP last September in Pampanga and is looking to widen his lead  in the class over Suba and Mascardo. 

Eane Jaye Sobretodo

Meanwhile, in the VS1 Mototek SUB Sealed GP, Sobretodo will be challenged by teammate Ephraim Onahon, Joseph Toledo and Reggie Adia.

There are many new stars and proven race winners  that will also compete in CRT in other classes. These include Joseph Dominque Purino, Kirk Domingiano, Jolo Suba, Christian Anderson, Leandro Paredes, Vortex Suba, Rmand Salandanan, Rain Del Mundo, Travis Baroja, Casey Clamor, Carl James Hung and many more riders who are hoping to learn and make an impact in the Super Series like the daughter of the legend Jolet Jao, Ms. Jasmin Jao.

The final round will be on November 21 also at Carmona Race Track for the Cavite GP.
