Yamaha continues to overcome obstacles and elevate riding experience with its latest release. The Mio Gear was introduced on August 20 in an exclusive virtual launch attended by select media. Built to be functional, resilient, and expressive; it has everything you need for the everyday challenge in the metro. It was specifically designed to traverse the rugged concrete city while you experience freedom with a wide range of offered extensibility primed for the urban ride. But that’s not all, the foundation of its concept may revolve on toughness, but it encourages the ability to be confident no matter the surrounding. To be more precise, to allow the rider to always be ready to play.

The design goes beyond the aesthetics. The tough exterior is equipped with new scratch protection and less painted parts built to endure multi-purpose use. It is also light and slim for more agile driving and easy parking. The 125cc blue core engine delivers a comfortable and enjoyable ride with great fuel economy and environmental performance. The Smart Motor Generator or SMG which greatly compliments the Stop and Start System with quick and quiet engine restarts. The Stop & Start System, when activated, automatically stops the engine during idling to further reduce fuel consumption. Moreover, noise and emission are reduced. The engine quickly restarts with a twist of the throttle grip.

Keep up with the hustle and bustle of your city. The LED lights are brighter and more durable than ever. You have access to Hazard lights to signal other motorists for emergencies and other distinct situations. The Slip Resistant Footboard allows you to fit larger than usual items on it without the hassle, and when riding you don’t have to think about any accidental slippages. Sometimes you have a lot more stuff than you can carry, that’s why with the double item hanger (carabiner & hook), it’s easier to carry more items. And your passengers can ride comfortably even with the large baggage placed on the footboard with the easy access footrests.

All the urban advantage you could need is built into the Mio GEAR. It is equipped with an Answer-back system which conveniently locates the motorcycle. With a single press on the remote key button, the vehicle sounds a buzzer and flashes its signal lamps. You also have a power outlet to easily charge your devices when on the go. Not just for style, the Reflectorized graphic increases visibility and highlights the signature Mio emblem wherever you ride. Don’t forget to check out the wheels, they are designed with the signature Mio style so you can stand out in any city. The tubeless tires provide a comfortable driving experience when maneuvering. Front tire size 80/80 – 14”, rear tire size 100/70 – 14”. For safety, the engine does not operate when the side stand is down. It also ensures that the vehicle is ridden with the side stand folded up. And what makes the Mio Gear a motorcycle to have is your access to multiple add-on accessories that redefines what extensibility is all about. This allows a degree of personalization and expression that turns the city into your own playground.

Tough enough for any city and allows you to power through any urban challenge. This is the Mio Gear – get ready to play!
