ZENEOS repeats in Motul Super Scooter GP National with Esguerra
Date posted on July 2, 2022
ZENEOS tires won its second successive Motul Super Scooter GP on Sunday June 26 at the Cavite GP Motul Super Series Nationwide Championships.
After his victory in the class at the opening Tarlac GP, Dustin Esguerra (Denoo Motorcycle Oil Gille MLW), on his Yamaha Mio prepared by MLW, again took victory at the fast Cavite IR Speedrome using ZENEOS Victuro tires.
The 2022 Motul Super Series Nationwide Championship is a Philippine National road race event sanctioned by NAMSSA, the FIM National Federation in partnership with Club affiliate USRA. It is presented by Motul by Infiniteserv International in partnership with Pirelli, Zeneos, Beast, FDR, Extreme One, and Quick.
Esguerra’s main protagonist in the class, JVT KC99 and ARRC rider Kerwin Chang, suffered a minor crash while Esguerra was closely following him during the first few laps. When Chang was eliminated, Esguerra was able to maintain the gap to his pursuers until the end of the race.
Said Esguerra, an IRGP legend and multiple Super Scooter Nationwide champion.
With their second national victory, ZENEOS and Esguerra has a comfortable lead in the 2022 Motul Super Series Championship standings.
